The Low Key Cabin

This beautiful cabin was built in 2009 with 640 sq.ft on one-level; living room with vaulted ceilings, kitchen, bedroom with a very comfortable queen size bed and a bathroom with a shower. It has a private deck in a shared back yard. Located on Alder Slope, about three miles from Enterprise and five miles from Joseph, with great views of the Wallowa Mountains. The space Situated on nine acres between the town of Enterprise (3 miles) and Joseph (5 miles) on the western Alder Slope. The property has 360 degrees expansive views; the Seven Devils to the East, the Wallowa Mountains to the South and West and the Wallowa Lake moraine. There is great walking and biking right out the front door, and only a few miles to the trail heads accessing the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Guest access WIFI, sleeps 2, cozy kitchen with a fridge, a 4 burner propane cooktop, outside BBQ and basic dishes and cutlery. The cabin is nice and cozy with a Jotul propane fireplace in the living room and electric heat in the bathroom floor. The bedroom windows have blinds ensuring privacy. Domestic water is from our excellent well. The cabin is about 10 feet from the main house but it has a separate entry with a keyless lock and place to park in the drive way. There is a private patio in the back of the cabin accessed from the living room. The back yard is shared with the main house and our two dogs roam the yard and will most likely come and say hi. If you are allergic to dogs this is probably not a good place to stay. We have horses, two friendly dogs and a cat on the property. We have wireless internet, a stereo but no TV. We follow strict COVID cleaning procedures. Other things to note The cabin is adjacent to our residence (about 10 feet from the main house) but has separate and private access. The kitchen cover the basic needs for cooking but it's not a gourmet kitchen. We do not offer breakfast food. We have a coffee pot, a french press, a coffee grinder, tea, some basic spices and hot sauce. Our dogs are outside in the shared space. They are very friendly and love attention. They do sometimes bark if they see deer or other percieved "intruders". The property is not child proof so we do not allow children, with the exception of infants.
