This solar-powered basement apartment holds 900 sq. ft. of memory- making potential with a main bedroom (queen bed & TV), kids room (twin/full bunkbed & foosball table), & hallway bathroom. Main living space boasts table tennis, chess sets, a stocked board game table, two-recliner sofa, and TV with VHS/DVDs, Wii system, and radio for family entertainment. Stocked kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge, and Nespresso maker. Space is totally private. Close to park, mall, Y, and Aurora Reservoir. The space An entire, private basement apartment with two bedrooms, bathroom, full kitchen, and a living/dining/game room (which includes a ping-pong table). NOTE: There is no separate heating/AC controls for the basement apartment. We keep the main level (where the thermostat is located) at ~70-71° F. The basement apartment tends to stay ~4-5° F below this range at ~65-67° F. If you are feeling cold, there is an extra blanket(s) in each bedroom closet and either a portable heater (in the living room) or "fireplace" heaters (in each of the bedrooms) that you can use. Each heater has a thermostat that can be adjusted to your individual comfort level. If you need assistance in setting them up/turning them on, please let us know. In addition, each bedroom has a 3-speed, oscillating fan if feeling hot. Guest access The only shared space is the front porch/step and the hall leading from the front door to the stairs going down to the basement apartment. Everything after that door (save the "Boiler" room and "Stowage" area, off of the main hallway, and a utility closet, in the Star Wars/kids room, which are all behind locked doors) is yours to use during your stay. Again, this listing is NOT for the entire house, just the entire basement apartment (~900 square-feet). Other things to note Max adult occupancy: 4 adults. NOTE: This space is most comfortable with 2 adults sharing the queen bed. 1 adult can sleep in relative comfort whilst sharing the bottom bunk (full) bed with one child (or another adult) with another child on the top bunk (twin) bed. We ask that adults refrain from occupying the top bunk (twin) bed during the stay, for safety/bed integrity reasons. 5 adults (provided the number of persons does not exceed 5, total) can be accommodated for with extra provisions and a twin bed set-up in the hallway.
