Our family of seven has carefully renovated and designed this space for big families and groups like ours. We hope you love it as much as we do! The second floor features a cozy master suite (full bath with double vanity attached), one queen bedroom, and one additional full bathroom. The upstairs dining area seats eight comfortably and centers on French doors opening to amazing lake and pool views on the spacious sundeck. A fully equipped, fully-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer (behind the living room barn door) and a cozy living room (including a 55” Smart TV) flanks the dining area. Turn on the record player and enjoy our collection of classic vinyls while you prep dinner over a glass of wine. The lakeside 8-foot windows running the length of the house will make you feel like all you see is LAKE! Sunsets on this deck overlooking the private pool, open yard, and small vineyard are a family favorite. Lounge in the spacious sunroom downstairs, featuring dining for ten, hammock lounge seating, and a glass garage door opening to the outdoor pizza oven. We provide pizza peels and cooking accessories; you bring the creativity and fun. Be sure to sync your phone to the Sunroom Sonos system while you do! The fully stocked first floor kitchen includes an additional dining space for four, and most of our barware (wine, champagne, scotch glasses, etc). Vaulted ceilings give the first floor an open and spacious vibe throughout. The spiral staircase will take you to the second floor or pass through the 8x8 French doors into our built-in bunk room, featuring four floor-to-ceiling queen bunks with individual reading lights. While you’re upstairs enjoying the evening sunset, let the kids wind down in the bunk room with the 60” Smart TV, or the adjacent game room! Because these bunks are all queens with ample space built all the way to the ceiling, adults can feel totally at ease and comfortable in these beds too! The bunk room also has its own full bathroom. There is an additional private queen bedroom and a full bathroom attached to the downstairs kitchen. Outside near the pool, we have provided ample outdoor seating, umbrellas, and a propane BBQ grill—everything your group needs to have a great time and make awesome memories! PLEASE NOTE: This is designed as a family/friends rental, NOT a party rental. Loud parties that disturb the quiet and secluded nature of the neighborhood are not allowed. Per house rules and rental agreement, guests that violate this house rule are subject to immediate eviction without refund. (We have never had to enforce this rule, and we really hope to keep it that way!) THE POOL is available May 1 through October 15. It is not heated, however, it is shallow (4 to 5 feet with no deep end), so during the summer months it is typically 75 to 85 degrees and quite comfortable. DISCLAIMER: Pools are inherently dangerous with a risk of serious injury, accident, or death. The pool is shallow and not suitable for diving. By booking this listing, you acknowledge that there is no lifeguard on duty, and you assume responsibility for your safety and the safety of everyone in your party, including children. Children must be supervised at all times. You acknowledge and agree to follow the pool safety rules posted in the guidebook and on the poolhouse. No horseplay. No glass in or by the pool. NO DIVING. Guests will have full access to the entire home, pool, yard, deck, patio, parking lot, and one-acre property. There is a small mother-in-law on the property that is unoccupied, and not for guest use. Oroville, WA is located four miles south of the Canadian border on Highway 97. Oro Hill House is located just outside the tiny town of Oroville, overlooking the beautiful Lake Osoyoos. Unlike Lake Chelan, Lake Osoyoos is still a relatively undiscovered gem of central Washington. If you want the beauty of Lake Chelan, but not the crowds and tourist traps, Lake Osoyoos is for you. We welcome fishermen! The lake is known for fantastic bass and trout fishing. Bring your boat and water gear, fish and tube during the day, and hang out poolside in the evening while you grill stakes or try your hand at wood-fired pizza-making! Some of our local favorites include: GOLF at Oroville Golf Club. Family-friendly, outstanding views, and an all-around fun course. HIKING Whistler Canyon Trail. This hike is actually a completed portion of the Pacific Northwest Trail. It climbs quickly at first, and features great views of Okanogan Valley, and if you climb high enough, the North Cascades. It also has terrific wildlife viewing possibilities. Hikers commonly report seeing mountain goats on rock faces above the trail. Mule deer, bear, marmot, and wild turkey have often been sighted here as well. Similkameen Trail: Like the Spokane Centennial and other urban trails, the Similkameen Trail is a jewel. A rail-to-trail conversion, this paved and graveled route offers visitors opportunities for biking, hiking, birding, wildlife sighting and wildflower-spotting. Photographers will love the river views, biologists the salmon viewing, and history buffs the story of the trail. Pro Tip: For a seven mile hike, there is another trailhead. In Oroville, follow the signs to The Old Depot Museum and Visitors Center. The trailhead is just up the street from the museum. Follow signs for the Oroville Trailhead. ROCKCLIMBING McLaughlin Canyon and exploring the caves: McLaughling Canyon Caves are a series of inter-connected fracture caves and crevasses in the southwestern slope of Tonasket Mountain. These are difficult caves, so not recommended for children, but if you are healthy and up for adventure, these caves are for you! There is a thousand+ feet of passageway with vertical inter-mixes. Some of the routes are naturally lit from narrow slits open to the sky above. Other areas are lightless. These are unregulated caves and at this time I am unsure of ownership. Spelunkers love these caves! TONASKET WATER RANCH: A ranch-themed splash pad and small waterpark for families to enjoy some fun in the sun! Free! WINERY: Esther Bricques Winery & Vineyard. Featuring local wines and musicians most weekends throughout the summer! Check their website for details. Photo Credits: Many of the local area photos were found on public domain websites for each of the areas. Be sure to find our House Manual and Welcome Guide when you get settled in. It contains everything you’ll want and need to know about the home. Although this property is a new listing, I am an experienced Superhost, and I stand by my properties. If something is not as described, or an unexpected problem arises during your stay, I will make it right. If anyone in your party would like to bring your RV, we have two RV spots with full hook-ups that are available for a nightly rental fee and can accommodate up to four people each. Message me for nightly rates. We do have weekly lawn and pool maintenance. They will do their best not to disturb you, but please allow them to care for the property. While we have done our best to kid-proof most parts of the home, we do ask that parents be responsible for their children, and not allow them to climb onto furniture such as tables and islands. Also please do not allow them to touch or play with the record player and accessories. The pool depth runs between 4 and 5 feet. All children should be supervised and diving is not allowed.
