La Palomera, La Ratonera Mill

La Palomera is one of several properties at Molino La Ratonera, a watermill set in a lush river valley. The location of this mill, in the heart of rural Andalucia, is within easy reach of Granada, Málaga, Seville and Córdoba and yet its rural situation provides a haven for wildlife and an excellent environment for walking, birdwatching or relaxing. The space La Palomera has two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The spacious sitting room/dining area and kitchen are open plan and lead, through double doors, on to a large private terrace overlooking the river valley. The house is equipped for up to four guests with one double and one twin bedroom. The walled private terrace is a beautiful place to sit and watch the varied wildlife in the river valley and woods. Its high ceiling and location close to the river, ensures that this house stays refreshingly cool in the hot summer months. Molino La Ratonera has excellent guest facilities which include a large chlorine free pool, gym, library and free wifi in all houses. All the properties are rented on a self-catering basis with bookings of flexible duration and start date. Molino La Ratonera is a holiday retreat set in a watermill in a lush river valley. Access to the mill is by tarmac road and a couple of hundred meters of track, from our nearest town of Zagra, less than 2,5 km away. Zagra contains bars and restaurants, an excellent small supermarket, banks with cash machines and even a castle. We are only 30 minutes away from the A92 motorway, which makes Granada, Málaga, Seville and Córdoba within easy reach for a day visit. With only 1 hour 20 minutes from Málaga, this is an ideal holiday location. Other things to note The large, low chlorine pool, gym and library are shared with the 4 other properties at the mill.
