About our lovely bed & breakfast The house was built in the late 1800s by one of the early Vermont families that originally settled the area during the 1700s. At its height, the family farm spanned nearly 400 acres with the farmhouse as its centerpiece. Over the years that followed, the farmhouse came to know a number of owners until we finally purchased the home in 2010 and have been lovingly restoring the home and its grounds ever since. The space A little bit about the rooms For overnight guests, we offer three (3) eloquently appointed rooms. These include the Winter Room, an en-suite with a private luxurious bathroom, the Summer Room offering an elegant private detached bathroom and, new for 2026, the Spring Room is available exclusively when booked alongside the Summer Room, creating a comfortable option for larger groups traveling together. Each bed in the B&B is supplied with fine linens that have been hand pressed with a touch of lavender, creating the ultimate night’s sleep. All three rooms are nestled away on the quiet second floor. What breakfast should be like We believe food should look as good as it tastes, it simply enhances every bite. And you can always count on a great cup of coffee! Although Vermont is covered in snow for a good portion of the year we try to grow or purchase local and organic ingredients when available to us. During your stay The Yellow Farmhouse is a traditional bed & breakfast where the innkeepers live in the home and stay on a floor separate from the guests. You will soon experience how relaxed and peaceful our home is. We are here to make your stay a fabulous experience. With that being said, some guests prefer the quietude of their room and environment, while others love to converse. That is the joy of being an innkeeper, a true plethora of people and personalities with one common theme, that all leave as friends. Other things to note @The Yellow Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast we have three (3) rooms available to rent with a maximum of two (2) guests per room. The Yellow Farmhouse B&B~The Winter en suite (Queen), is a private room with attached bath with an elegant soaker tub and large glass shower. Crisp Matouk linens entice you into this elegantly appointed blue hued bedroom, a comfortable chair for reading awaits you and a hidden television is provided to keep you "in the know". The Yellow Farmhouse B&B~The Summer Room (Queen), is a private room with an elegant private detached bath, this room exemplifies summer with it's buttery yellow walls while the rich bold wallpaper grounds the room beautifully, an eclectic chair entices you to pick up a book or simply kick your legs up. The hand painted four poster bed with beautiful Matouk bedding adds the finishing touch to this welcoming bedroom. New for 2026: The Yellow Farmhouse B&B~The Spring Room is a private room available exclusively when booked alongside the Summer Room, creating a comfortable option for larger groups traveling together. It’s the smallest of our rooms but most bright and cheery of the three. You cannot help but wake up in a good mood while staying here.
