Hazel Yurt glamping at Olchon Valley Campsite

Relax, unwind and immerse yourself in nature in this spacious double yurt in the stunning Olchon Valley. Located on a working hill farm in the BlackMountains, Hazel Yurt consists of two conjoined yurts in a secluded, wooded setting. With spectacular scenery, fabulous dark night skies and peace, it’s the perfect location for a stopover along the Offa’s Dyke Path National Trail or a base to explore some local hikes, including the famous ‘Cat’s Back’ ridge walk and the impressive ‘Hay Bluff’. The space Perfect for families, Hazel Yurt sleeps 4/5. The ‘bedroom yurt’ has twin beds which can be linked to make a king sized bed, with the option of an additional small child’s pull out bed or cot. The ‘living room yurt’ has a double futon to provide an additional bed, plus kitchenette with gas rings and comfy seating area. There are dining areas inside and outside the yurt, plus a BBQ/ firepit. Guest access You will have sole use of Hazel Yurt and all its facilities for relaxing, cooking and sleeping. There are three other accommodation units on the site: two other yurts (Holly and Hawthorn) and a railway wagon (Horse Chestnut). Whole site bookings for group use are available. There is shared, communal use of the field kitchen, al fresco dining area and outdoor shelter with large fire pit/ BBQ. Toilet and shower blocks are located a minute’s walk away. Other things to note We provide duvets, pillows and blankets. We do NOT provide the flat bed linen: sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases. If you forget your bed linen, you may be able to hire a set for a small charge. We have a strong sustainable ethos so have developed our site to enable our guests to ‘tread lightly’ in this very special place.
