Cabin Info * Arrival & check-in time is after 3pm. *Departure & check-out is by 11am. Q: DO WE ALLOW EARLY CHECK-INS? A: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate early check-ins -- as it will not allow our housekeeper enough time to fully prepare the home for you. Q: CAN I GET A LATE CHECK-OUT? A: Unfortunately, we cannot grant late check-outs. Our housekeeper is on a tight schedule to clean multiple homes, and we cannot accommodate a late check-out request. Thank you for your understanding. PARKING: There is no street parking allowed (the county citations are $1,000 which are billed to directly to Airbnb guests) so please park ONLY in our designated parking area on the dirt/gravel clearing to the left of our steps. Make sure your vehicle is completely off the pavement. Be careful not to park anywhere else, like across the street - that property belongs to our neighbor's, and the county also cites the same $1,000 fine for parking on other homeowner's property. Unfortunately, they are very tough on vacation rental guests, and we've had neighbors call the 24-hour code enforcement tip line on cars parked in the wrong area, and they respond in the middle of the night! They really want to issue those $1,000 fines, so please be careful! Q. HOW MANY VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED? A. We have designated parking for up to 2 vehicles (only). Q: IS THE PROPERTY ISOLATED? A: The Property is located in a mountain community and is surrounded by neighboring cabins. The community itself is just a few blocks from the Lake. **NOISE DISTURBANCES - Please be respectful of all neighbors. Noise travels easily in the mountains & we ask that our guests be respectful of the full-time residents that live nearby. Your reservation is for a quiet, relaxing & enjoyable stay! Q: CAN I INVITE MORE PEOPLE THAN THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED LISTED? A: Maximum occupancy does not only refer to the number a home can sleep, this is also the number of people allowed in the home at any given time. It is determined by the licensing authority based on the number of exits in the home and fire safety codes. **MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - Please abide by the maximum occupancy number for the home at all times. **San Bernardino County has codes that are strictly enforced. Be sure to abide by the maximum occupancy number for the home at ALL times. As a guest, you are welcome to use all of the amenities provided. We want our guests to enjoy all we have to offer. All we ask is that you treat our home with care. Happy Travels! Other things to note Our home is heated by a mounted wall heater and wood-burning fireplace original to the home. -Sorry, no pets/animals. **We promise our allergy-sensitive guests a pet/dander-free home. -Smoke-free home. No smoking or vaping. **Thank you! -Wood-burning fireplace: Bring a bundle of firewood if you'd like to cozy up next to the fireplace! **Please bring your own supply of firewood and you may want to bring a duraflame log or firelighters to help with starting the fireplace. This is an original, wood-burning fireplace with no gas supply. -No BBQ/Grilling/Bonfires on the premises. **Extreme Fire Danger** To reduce risk of wildfire during severe weather conditions, Southern California Edison reserves the right to temporarily cut electrical service to its customers, and we have no control over that.  Our guests understand that there will be no refunds for power outages or internet/Wi-Fi interruptions and that they'll happily accept the unlikely inconvenience for the sake of preserving our forests! Q: WHAT TYPE OF WEATHER SHOULD I EXPECT ON MY TRIP? A: PLEASE COME ADEQUATELY PREPARED!!! Be sure to check the local forecast for weather conditions. In the fall & winter months expect fog, rain, sleet and snow. Roads can be very icy, and the owners cannot be responsible for weather or driving conditions. Q: DO I NEED TIRE CHAINS ON MY VEHICLE? A: During the SNOW season it is wise to carry snow tire chains. CHP requires possession of chains/cables when traveling mountain roads in icy conditions. Chains can be purchased at the base of the mountain near Highland Avenue & Hwy 330 at the Super Walmart. *Be sure to get the right size for your tires. Q: WILL I HAVE TO SHOVEL SNOW? A: YES! Our HWY roads are plowed by the county - but our street parking, steps, entry and deck are not. *Guests are responsible for removing snow should it snow during their stay. Snow shovels are located at the cabin -- shoe/boot chains are highly recommended when conditions are snowy and icy. Q. HOW CAN I ACCESS THE LAKE? A. Lake Arrowhead is a beautiful private area. This season, due to the new ALA bylaws we are unable to offer guests fishing or lake access. However, you can still enjoy many fun activities! You can take a scenic boat ride on the Arrowhead Queen Lake Tour, enjoy water skiing with McKenzie Water Ski School, or walk around Lake Arrowhead Village. Q. WHAT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ARE THERE TO ENJOY? A. If you want more outdoor adventures, Lake Gregory is a short drive away. It has a nice walking trail around the lake that offers great views and a peaceful atmosphere for walking or relaxing by the water. For more details, check "Lake Gregory Regional Park" for updates on parking, trails, fishing and water rentals. Enjoy your time exploring! We look forward to sharing our mountain retreat with you!
