New version Luxury Log Cabin Hilltop Retreat on 4.5 acres- with breathtaking views Accommodations: Cabin, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 10-12) WELCOME Located in Pine Cove, just 3 miles north of Idyllwild’s town center, this 4 bedroom 2 bathroom luxurious 2400 square foot log cabin is a great place to get away and relax. This beautifully refurnished cabin has a 3 car covered carport with ample parking, a swing set for adults and kids and sits on 4.5 acres of forested land with panoramic views. There is a private little hiking trail on the property, which also serves as on-site sledding in the winter months. There is also a wrap around redwood deck to enjoy the views, as well as an outdoor ground level fire pit. We offer wireless internet access, as well as NetFlix. There is no cable television. The property is just a short drive to many great restaurants, shopping, and activities in the quaint village of Idyllwild. BEDROOMS and BATHS 2 CAL King bedrooms and all bedrooms feature brand upgraded furniture, carpet, linens, and memory foam mattresses. The linens provided are all 100% cotton with allergy friendly down-alternative bedding, and all pillows feature allergy protective covers. There is also a full sized washer and dryer located in the downstairs hallway near the bedrooms. For your convenience laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets are provided. FIRST BEDROOM – MASTER KING A very spacious bedroom that features a large comfortable CAL KING sized bed, french doors that open onto a wisteria-covered veranda, a attached full bathroom. It offers a propane gas potbelly stove for warmth, and a large walk-in closet. There is a wall mounted High Definition TV with digital library access to Netflix. SECOND KING BEDROOM Tastefully decorated with another spacious CAL KING bed, dresser and night stands. This is a hard to find second King bedroom also for the comfort of 2 couples. THIRD BEDROOM – KIDS BUNK ROOM A fun kids bunk room with 2 sets of TWIN OVER FULL bunk beds with an additional TWIN trundle under each bunk. This room also has a bookshelf full of kid’s books, a cozy rug, and a bean bag to read stories on at bedtime. FOURTH BEDROOM / PLAYROOM This room is the only upstairs bedroom. It serves as the kids’ playroom and has a trundle bed with two TWINS. There is a wall-mounted HD-TV with Amazon Fire TV and paid Netflix account. This room is right off of the main kitchen and living area so the kids can play safely in easy view of the adults. KITCHEN AND LIVING AREA This property comes outfitted with all the comforts of home including a full modern kitchen with granite slab counters, full sized refrigerator, full sized stove and double-oven, dishwasher, blender, food processor, toaster, coffee maker, slow cooker and full place settings for 12. You will have everything you need to prepare amazing gourmet meals if you decide to dine in. There is a propane BBQ grill available during the non-winter months. The living room has upgraded carpet and furniture, and sits right off the kitchen. There is a 60-inch wall mounted HD-TV with access to Amazon FireTV and Netflix. The river rock fireplace runs on propane gas, which is safer for kids running around inside. There is a large comfortable sectional sofa as well as a chaise lounge and large bean bag for plenty of seating. There is also a game table in the back of the living area with puzzle, games and coloring materials to keep both kids and adults busy. But the outdoor ground level fire pit offers the opportunity to light some real firewood and roast marshmallows. UPSTAIRS BATHROOM This spacious bathroom sits on the main living level and features a tub/shower with an oversize shower head. DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM This spacious bathroom sits on the lower level with all of the bedrooms. The main bathroom area is attached to the MASTER bedroom and features a stand-in shower with two shower heads and a sink vanity area. A door separates the toilet area, which has its own sink and opens to the hallway. HIGHLIGHTS Our cabin is short 7 minute drive to downtown Idyllwild, with access to many restaurants and shops, as well as a brand new amazing playground structure at the town’s community center. It is an even shorter drive to the Idyllwild Nature Center, which offers an indoor interactive area for kids, many great hikes and picnic areas in the summer and great sledding in the winter. Humber Park is also nearby, which has hiking in the summer and great sledding in the winter (it tends to be about 15 degrees colder here so always bring some warm clothing!). The Idyllwild community is known as an artist’s town. There is the annual Jazz in the Pines Festival the last weekend in August, as well as many other Art and Nature oriented events throughout the year. Idyllwild is about an hour drive away from Palm Springs and Palm Desert, and 1.5-2.5 hours away from Orange County, Los Angeles and San Diego. Guest access The guest will have full access to all areas except owner locked closets and outside sheds. Other things to note You will be asked to kindly sign a Rental Agreement prior to your stay.
