We offer a private ground floor suite, with a private entrance, in our contemporary mountain house. We live on site, and are available if needed, but respect our guests privacy! We only have contact when I show guests how to operate the hot tub. It's only 3 miles from Interstate 80, which makes getting hear a breeze, and from here it's only a short drive to all that the Poconos has to offer. Hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, skiing, just to name a few! A house becomes ' Home,' when it's filled with Love. Having raised our 6 children here, our hope is that you will sense the love that has been poured out on this property while visiting our home. The suite overlooks the pond, and a waterfall is right outside the bedroom window. It is furnished with everything one might need, linens, towels, robes, shampoo, soap, etc. The hot tub and steam shower helps you relax in a spa like setting. A microwave, fridge, coffee, and tea station is available, but not a full kitchen. The entire ground floor suite, is accessed by a keyless lock with your own code, and the circle driveway is yours for the weekend, so you can park near the steps that lead to the back of the house, and your private entrance. We live on property, and will be available to help make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible, while totally respecting each others privacy. Our backyard borders an exclusive, private trout fishing club, but upstream you can hike the stream and waterfalls in the Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area, or hike the Great Swamp in the Thomas Darling Preserve, both just a mile away. Also only a mile away is Wawa, Dunkin Dounuts, CVS Pharmacy, and more. Guests have taken an Uber from our house to a show at the Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe, and the Martz Bus Company stops a couple of miles from the house, making a visit here from the city possible without having to drive yourself. The water in our house is supplied by an artesian well, Pocono Mountain spring water with an overflow pipe near to the hot tub, fresh and deliciuos! Please remember to bring your flip flops or slippers to get from house to hot tub.
