It has sweeping HIGH ceilings, and a modern deco style. This home has THREE bedrooms, 2.5 baths for a total of 2000 sq. ft. It boasts an open floor plan and has been recently remodeled, with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a "real" wood-burning fireplace and wood floors throughout. There is a massage chair in the Living Room for your relaxation. The patio on the main floor has a grill, and is a favorite morning coffee spot, or dining-by-moonlight space as you gaze out at the trees and stars. Rooms: The bedrooms are all on the lower level.The Master Bedroom (red wall in pics) is large and majestic, with a tree-top view from its window. It has a KING bed and an attached bathroom. The Guest Bedroom (mango accent wall in the pictures) has its own small deck and private entrance. The guest room has a QUEEN bed, dresser, closet and TV. The Study (the room with the blue wall in the pictures) has a DOUBLE futon bed. The Guest Room and Study have access to the second full bathroom, which sports a soaking tub. There is also additional sleeping space in the home - if you are willing to sleep on a comfortable roll out mattress (one person) on the floor. Location! Location! Location! Close to legendary Topanga Canyon, with easy access to the beach, and Malibu, the home would be a great writer's retreat, as it is secluded, with a patio that offers a refreshing treetop view. It is tucked away in the hills for complete privacy. And yet it is just 5 minutes to Ventura Blvd - where Whole Foods, Sprouts and Trader Joe's lie within a couple of blocks in either direction. Ventura also has a lot of restaurants and cafes and the movie theater is just another 5 minutes north. Warner Center is 7-8 mins away. If you go 5 mins west from the "treehouse," you reach Topanga Cyn Road which leads to nearby trails, hikes and State Parks. And if it is the ocean you seek, then a scenic drive through Topanga Cyn will have you there in 22 mins from the house. Amenities: - Free high-speed WiFi - Cable and Streaming (including Apple TV & Amazon FireStick). - Boogie Boards: There are also a couple of boogie boards you can borrow for the beach. - Fresh towels and sheets are provided for all guests. Lived in: I should add that this is a house I live in much of the time. I travel a lot and have other flexibility, so if it shows available on the calendar, it IS available. But unlike other rental properties that are de-personalized and just kept aside for rent - this one will have the lived in, albeit a very neat and immaculate feel. Meaning, there are pictures on the wall, books on the bookshelves, condiments in the fridge, etc. Guests usually find it easier as they don't have to buy things like sugar/ salt and pepper/ ketchup/olive oil just for a short trip. You also get to enjoy a kitchen with high end appliances, many All-Clad/Calphalon pans with mostly Crate-and-Barrel or West Elm cutlery and crockery. Please note: The home is in the hills. So you definitely need your own car. This is an LGBTQ-friendly space. This home is NOT childproof. So if you have young children, this may not be the best choice. I like to rent the home for 3 nights and above.
