The cottage is situated on the village road in Stanton on the Wolds in a highly desirable area. A 2 min walk in one direction and you're in the countryside; a 10 min walk in the other and you're in a large village with all amenities. Nottingham, Leicester, Newark, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray and Grantham are all a 20-30 min drive and Lincoln's only 60 mins away. The British Geological Survey (BGS) is a short walk so it's ideally placed for visitors and employees. The space Tastefully decorated, the cottage is full of charm and character. The front door opens into a wide hallway which benefits from natural lighting and a handy downstairs wc. The wooden flooring flows along the hall into the lounge which is equipped with a generous three/four seater settee together with a two seater. Sliding patio doors lead from the lounge onto the private rear patio and garden. The separate dining room with original beams has a large dining table seating six, a dresser and a comfortable chair for reading or dozing in the corner. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need for long or short stays. The quaint original staircase is short and steep so is unsuitable for the infirm or toddlers. The three bedrooms are well appointed and designed for a good night's sleep. The two at the front of the cottage are reasonably spacious doubles, one has a walk-in style wardrobe, whilst the third is a small single. The attractive bathroom has a large walk-in shower, hand basin and wc. Guest access Lavender Cottage is exclusively available to you in its entirety including it's pretty, private garden. Other things to note Lavender Cottage is strictly for non smokers. No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere in the property or outside in the grounds. Pets are not allowed. The cottage is in a quiet residential area so is suitable for couples and families who appreciate peace and quiet. Parties, gatherings or events of any nature are not permitted. Parking is limited to two family sized vehicles. One on the drive and one on the street. Whilst we do accept bookings from those working in the area we do not permit large works vehicles to be parked at the cottage. Cooking or consuming food in the cottage which has a tendency to cause very strong lingering odours likely to be detected by the next guest is not considerate and therefore not allowed.
