Stunning self-contained studio with conservatory

Wind down and relax in this beautiful Victorian annexe to our family home, with separate entrance and modern comforts. You will stay in a large room with a double sofabed and extra sofa, with your own kitchenette and stylish shower room. Renovated in 2020, this amazing space also benefits from its own sunny south-facing conservatory (unheated so not suitable for winter use) and a table and chairs to sit outside. If it's chilly you can enjoy the underfloor heating. The space This is a large high-ceilinged room with views of the garden. There is a kitchenette with a 2 ring electric hob, kettle, a fridge with small freezer compartment and basic kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery for 2 people. You have your own private shower room with shower cubicle, loo and wash basin. The conservatory has a small table and two chairs. The sofabed is a fairly small double so may not be comfortable for very tall guests. Also please be aware that this is a sofabed not a regular bed, hence has a thinner mattress so it can fold, so if you reallly need a super comfortable traditional bed, this studio may not be for you. In response to feedback by a few guests, a brand new sofabed mattress has been provided in July 2024. Please note for ease and hygiene reasons we only provide teabags, coffee and sugar (no milk) and hand soap. The wood stove in the photos is not in use. Guest access As well as the annexe you have shared use of the large, woodland-style front garden with wildlife pond (along with house residents) and there is an outdoor table and two chairs for your use just outside your entrance door. The conservatory has views of the back garden but that is private and not for guests' use. You may see main house residents in the back or front garden. Other things to note This is an annexe to a family home so you may hear noise from residents in the main house at times. There are shutters over the large French doors but they don't cover the top parts of the windows so bring an eye mask if you need darkness! As noted in the house manual which you will see after booking, we request that you don't smoke or vape in the studio, conservatory or garden.
