After a day of walking, relax in the wood-fired sauna. Its beautiful flames will light up your evenings. Scherwiller has 370 hectares of vineyards, which places the village in the top three of the most important municipalities in the Bas-Rhin department in terms of vineyard area. Come and meet the winegrowers passionate about their craft who will pass on their know-how and offer you a tasting of their best vintage… We will also offer you the address of a craft beer brewer who is worth a visit. Talk to me if you're interested, I could arrange a meeting. The village is crossed by the Aubach, a river lined with a hundred washhouses. The site, which has been classified since December 4, 1969, is worth a visit for a dip in history. Stroll along its quays, cross the small stone bridges and stop to discover the remains of the old washhouses where the washerwomen came to wash their laundry. In summer, these washhouses come back to life in the theater show on Rue des Lavandières where scenes of rural village life are played out, in French and Alsatian. Along the Aubach, admire the typical half-timbered houses, dating from the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Beautifully colored, they are generally timber-framed for the upper floors and cut stone for the ground floor. A blend of tradition and modernity that will amaze you. On the heights of the town, come and stroll on the rocky spur where the Château de l'Ortenbourg is located, built in the 13th century. The view of the town, the plain of Alsace, the Swiss Alps and the spire of Strasbourg Cathedral is impressive... Don't forget to visit Monkey Mountain, the Eagle Flight, the Stork Park and EUROPAPARK too!!! Also come and enjoy discounted rates with our many partners, including the La Couronne restaurant or the excellent Frey Sohler winery. Guest access Access to the entire home. Other things to note Pets not allowed. No smoking allowed Only for two people. So no couples with children, even very young ones. 🔸 For safety reasons, a motion detection surveillance camera is installed outside the cottage. It only films the parking lot in front of the front door, in order to ensure the protection of the vehicles of the vacationers.
