Our home combines nature and peaceful, private forest views with easy access to Long Island's beaches and New York City - all one mile from Huntington Village, a lively "New England" style village on the gold coast of Long Island. The space Our home is a lovely extended ranch house with one acre of private land. We are also backed by 12 acres of private forest, makes for an amazing view and privacy. You will be greeted by many types of birds at our window feeder as you spend time in the kitchen or window room. You can also see our many little animals along the forest edge (bunnies, groundhogs, chipmunks, hawks and more). We adore all of our nature friends and spend time each day watching them have fun. BBQ or take a meal or your coffee outside on our patio to be serenaded by all the sounds of nature! It can be hard to leave our gorgeous yard. We feel so lucky to have this amazing space as our home and are happy to share it with our guests. Our home has three bedrooms and 2 baths. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with a view. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed. The third bedroom features a convertible and comfy double bed with an office space. The office desk is a sit stand desk. The first bathroom is in the main house with a shower. The second bathroom is on the lower floor with a double size shower. Our home can fit 5 adults, with out children. If you are having children, let me know. Our kitchen is brand new and has an lovely open feel. The dining room is nestled within the window room, with wonderful light shining through. In these two rooms, you are surrounded by windows, that overlook the nature and lush landscape. Our home also features a comfy TV room with options for streaming. We have wireless internet and apple tv. With apple TV, you can sign into any of your own streaming services, if you have them (ex: HBO, Netflix or Amazon Live Streaming). We do not have cable TV, but are welcome to use our Netflix account for movies and shows. Guest access Please let me know if you are headed to the beach or park. To further your beach or park experience, we will provide you with beach towels, cooler, sheet and umbrella. We will leave marked space for you to hang clothes and for available drawers. Guests have access to everything BUT the following: * food in the fridge and on the shelves. Your are welcome to our cooking spray and spices. *personal care items, bring your own toiletries/ shower items *please respect our stuff, clothes and privacy- we live here. *2 or fewer guests do not have access to the second bedroom. Let me know if the third bedroom should be converted to a bed for guests. An accurate count for guests needs to be announced and agreed upon before arrival. *I may be able to be flexible with check in/ out times. If a different time is needed, just let me know and I will see if I can work it out.
