The sunroom and deck are perfect spots to relax — listen to the water, watch boats drift by, and enjoy unforgettable sunsets over the lake. The home features 2 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and 3 indoor sitting areas. The upstairs sitting area includes a sofa bed and can be used as a home office during the day or a third sleeping space at night. The fully equipped kitchen has just about everything you need for cooking and entertaining. A voice-activated Alexa device lets you play your favourite music throughout the house. Outside, enjoy the BBQ (propane provided) and the peaceful lakeside setting. Complimentary coffee, tea, breakfast bars, and filtered water are provided for your stay. We also offer two kayaks for exploring the unique habitat where land and water intertwine. Please let us know in advance if you plan to use them so we can have everything ready. Life vests and the required safety kit are provided. Guests will need an SUV or truck to transport the kayaks to the boat launch approximately 400 m away. The historic town of Amherstburg — home to Fort Malden, excellent restaurants, bakeries, and grocery shopping — is just a 10-minute drive. The famous EPIC Wine Route features about 20 wineries, many with on-site dining. A local brewery and distillery are only minutes away. See our guidebook for recommendations. Guest access Guests have full, private access to the entire home and outdoor living areas. Free on-site parking is available for up to four vehicles. The detached garage is not part of the standard guest space. Access may be provided occasionally for bicycles or kayaks upon request. In winter months, the garage may also be used for recycling and garbage storage. Other things to note For safety and insurance purposes, exterior security cameras are in use. Cameras monitor the main entrance and the interior of the detached garage only. There are no cameras inside the home, no cameras on the lakeside deck, and no cameras in the hot tub area. Seasonal note: Mayflies may appear briefly in late June or early July. This is a natural, short-lived occurrence common along Lake Erie.
