The space THE SPACE Enjoy comfort, style, and modern amenities all wrapped up in a quiet neighborhood where you can hear the birds chirp and the wind rustle the leaves. Our guest suite features its own private entrance with a parking spot. High ceilings with ceiling fans, plus new HVAC, make for a breezy open feel to the space. Featuring oak wood flooring in the bedroom and living room, large format tile flooring in the bathroom... no carpet anywhere! Enjoy sweeping panoramic views of most of San Diego's east county, with inspiring sunrise and sunset views. You have your own covered, fully fenced patio with dining table and chairs to enjoy al fresco dining. ENTERTAINMENT In the living room, you'll find a 43" TV with cable and Netflix ready. Many of our guests have commented about the WiFi being lightning fast! There are also books, magazines, and games for your enjoyment. AMENITIES This space has a kitchenette, quartz counters, large sink, and cooking/eating utensils. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap, and hair dryer. The ceilings throughout are vaulted, giving an airy feel, with ceiling fans. CLEANLINESS All bedding and linens, including blankets, are washed for each stay. We emphasize and take pride in cleanliness. ART/PHOTOGRAPHY All the photography on the walls is by my husband, who is a professional photographer. The bed/headboard and other wall art is handmade by me. I enjoy all sorts of carpentry and I like making both decorative and functional items from wood. We get a lot of requests from past guests wanting to know the brand of our mattress because it's so comfy! Here it is: Simmons Beautyrest Pacific Series in California King size. *IMPORTANT* PLEASE READ - Guests must understand the following: 1- The property is located up a semi-steep private road. It's how we have such amazing views! If you are a person who cannot drive up steep roads, this property is not for you. Please see the photos of the private road and driveway before booking. The vast majority of our visitors have no issues with the road, and our 87 year old neighbor drives it daily, but we just want to make you aware in case this is an issue for you. 2- The guest space is located directly below our main house. We have insulated the ceiling space well, however you will hear noise from above, similar to staying in a hotel on the ground floor. We have provided white noise machines, as well as TVs in both the living room and bedroom, just in case you need it. If you are very noise sensitive, this space is not for you. 3- We have zero tolerance for any kind of disrespectful behavior, including drug use, smoking of any kind, excessive drinking, partying, or any kind of event (including birthday parties). Guest access You have full private access to our guest abode area, which includes two private entrances and a large patio area, part of which is covered. Other things to note The Cal king bed fits two adults easily, and the fold down leather sofa (full size) will fit two small children or one adult. We also offer a twin sized air mattress, which is in the bedroom closet.
