Welcome to River Ridge Lodge! Relax at our custom Coventry Log Cabin home in the White Mountains. The cabin is perched above the Wild Ammonoosuc River with treehouse like views. Ski, hike or just a short scenic drive to Lincoln or Littleton -home to Chutters candy or enjoy their local breweries. Enjoy the simple pleasures of a family cookout or a walk down to the river 'beach' to swim or pan for gold and gems. Relax on our porch with a book and beverage of choice. Gas fireplace or A/C. The space Our custom log cabin has vaulted ceiling with skylights. Beautiful pine walls and wide planked floors. Upscale details with tiffany style lighting and decorations with a fun cabin vibe. The large porch with four Pollywood Adirondack chairs is situated like a treehouse overlooking the river. The end of the porch is our private outdoor shower. We have a beautiful gas fireplace inside for cozy cool nights and a fire pit outside for the rest of the year. A grill is available for use outside and a stove and oven inside. We have two full bathrooms with showers. The master bath has a large walk in shower with glass doors and two shower heads. There are two bedrooms. One bedroom with a queen size bed and another open loft style bedroom with another queen sized bed. The living room has two large couches, one is a sofa bed. There is a large screen TV and many games, puzzles, and books to keep you busy. The reading nook in the loft is a great cozy spot to read. We hope it will be your happy place too! Other things to note Within 30 minutes of amazing: hiking trails ski mountains Lost River Gorge Flume Gorge Clark's Trading Post Big Eddy swimming hole Whale's Tale Service is spotty for some phone carriers once you leave the house. Be prepared to disconnect! It is seldom that we lose power, but if we do, don't panic. We don't have a generator, but the power normally comes on within 30 minutes-2 hours. Your food should all still be good. We have five seasons here at Sheffield. Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring and Mud season! During mud season, it is a good idea to travel with 4-wheel drive! Mid season is between March and May. We provide firewood at $5 a bundle. CASH ONLY
