Need a change of view? Unplug, and relax in this independent private cottage on the homestead. Watch for deer, turkeys and birds in the field from the sunroom or take a hike around the farm. Centered in Fauquier's wine country it is ideal for the weekend escape, or day trips West to the mountains, East to DC or points south. Also, a perfect solution for accommodating family at get-to-gathers, wedding guest, or your "Halfway overnight stay" traveler North/ South or to the beach. The space * Bath includes a shower, and separate Jacuzzi single person bathtub (Use only the provided bath oil beads) . Full kitchen, Local TV, and DVD's, No Cable, or Wifi; Bring your own hot spot if you need it. *Washer and Dryer available. * Please let me know your sleeping needs, prior to arrival or goal is to make the stay comfortable for all. *One Queen bed in Master Bedroom, *Optional 2nd bedroom can be opened on request with a twin Craftmatic bed and a twin bed, if needed, *One futon in living room. Let me know it is needed, and I will set it up for you. *Also for those young at heart an air mattress can be set up in living room as well. * The home is Not child proofed for children under 10, but great for a field trip outing to explore nature. ABSOLUTLY No children permitted on or around equipment unless accompanied by owner. * Owners live on site in Main farmhouse if needed. * This is a hay & straw crop farm, no livestock or horses on site only chickens. * The trails are natural paths, or field roads, mowed a minim of 4 times a year or more. You can wander, or cross country jog, anywhere on the land, please refrain from entering buildings. * No ATV vehicles on trails or fields. * Drone flying meeting all Federal rules and Regulations for height and distance is permitted. No Drone retrieval service available. Guest access You have access to all primary living areas in the house. There are 2 locked rooms that are reserved by the owner, and only opened as needed for additional sleeping. The yard areas, and fields are open for your enjoyment, however, caution should be taken if farming operations are occurring. A tractor or truck with workmen and equipment may be in the fields during the day depending on the season. You can feed the chicken food scrapes if you desire. Please do not chase them. Other things to note We are pet Friendly and want to share our fields with you and your pet. We are very conscious of the human treatment of all animals. Our primary concern is the safety of your pet. * When you are in the house, they have full access as you do to all areas of the home. *When outside all pets MUST be leashed to avoid getting lost in nearby woodland or chasing chickens. If YOU choose to take them off leash, we will not be held responsible for any loss or retrieval expenses. *If pet sitting is needed for a period of time during your stay (in lieu of crating) please advise at time of booking so it can be accommodated. * If your activities require you to leave a pet crated for more than 8 hours, YOU MUST return to feed and walk them; or make prior arrangements for their care if your visit requires extended time away from the house. * If abandoned alone in the home for more than 10 hours crated or not, the Dog Warden will be called to remove the dog for it's safety and care. Safe and secure accommodations for any pet is an enclosure suited to the needs and size of the pet. It should contain the pet when left in the dwelling unattended. This will eliminate the risk of harm to the pet from ingestion of foreign objects, or damage to the dwelling and contents should they get frightened, or excited by other animals near the building. Children: We welcome children into the house on a case-by-case basis, with written confirmation of responsibility from their guardians. Please ensure children remove their shoes at the door.
