And to make your trip special, we welcome dogs at a no charge. Guests love the peace, calm and the proximity to so much nature. The space Set within over 20 acres of our equestrian home's private grounds, Jungle Cottage is ideal as an indulgent place to rest and be pampered, or indeed to use as a stepping stone for the Cotswolds. An exceptionally private cottage in the heart of the Cotswolds, Jungle Cottage is within easy reach of all key tourist destinations. Presented with its own lawned garden, patio and large dedicated parking area and finished to an exceptional-standard. There are two bedrooms, but the mezzanine level can act as a third bedroom (where the copper bath tub is) as it has a sofa that turns into a double-sized bed, allowing for a total of 5 guests (5 guests including infants is our maximum). Children: We have tried to make it fun for children, with the large TV that has dedicated wiring to a special wall socket that has both HDMI and USB cables ready to receive any games console; so make sure they bring their gaming units and they can immediately plug and play. We can also provide a travel cot if required. Dogs: We are huge dog lovers, and all well-behaved dogs are genuinely welcome. We love dogs so much, that we are delighted to confirm that such dogs can stay in Jungle Cottage at no extra cost. But please contact us before booking if you are bringing dogs (we cannot accommodate other pets, sadly). We do also ask that you bring your own dog beds, and kindly request that your pooches do not go on sofas/ beds or are left alone in the cottage. As there are dogs and horses around the property, we do need to discuss your dogs before you book so we can confirm being able to accept your dogs with us. The Story We wanted to create a different rental property, something where you would be able to enjoy the size and experience of a 5 star hotel's suite, but with a large garden and the ability to take your dogs with you in a unique and private setting - something we ourselves struggled to find. Accordingly, we embarked on an extensive refurbishment programme over the majority of 2021, and we are delighted present Jungle Cottage. A love of wild animals has inspired an interior design theme that is full of our personal stories: from taking morning tea with my grandparents in the company of parrots above on the telegraph cables to riding horses next to African plainsgame, or from tracking tigers in India to seeking out Orang-Utans in Borneo. Jungle Cottage is a passion project for us, and we hope you will have as much pleasure in staying here as we have had in bringing this project to life. Guest access The local roads are used for horses, cycling and running/ walking. There are lovely walks nearby, along bridle paths and footpaths, that can be accessed along these roads, and we provide maps for these. These walks can take you to wonderful local pubs that serve excellent food. In addition, there are a plethora of wonderful restaurants in the area, nearby and further afield. We send you all of these details well before you arrive. Other things to note Jungle Cottage is in a rural and tranquil location, it is set almost totally hidden from our own house and next our small private equestrian yard. We are also not a high volume rental, meaning we prepare the cottage thoroughly for each stay. Hence, if you would like to book at the last minute, especially if on the same day, please contact us before booking so we can ensure the cottage is ready as we try to have it freshly cleaned just before arrival.
