Our pool is great for cooling off in the hot desert sun & the heated spa is perfect after a day of hiking in Joshua Tree National Park or shopping in Flamingo Heights, Yucca Valley or JT. + office/work space + large cook's kitchen with island + dining room with wood burning fireplace + pool & spa + courtyard with firepit Nestled in a quiet area of Flamingo Heights, you are close to many popular attractions; yet can still experience the seclusion of the desert.  Flamingo Haven is just minutes to the famous Integratron and some of the best dining in the hi-desert like La Copine.  Just a short drive to Yucca Valley you will find great vintage shops and grocery stores. You can be at the West entrance of Joshua Tree National Park within a 30 minute drive. Flamingo Haven is a great space to bring the whole family or friends to enjoy the peace of the hi-desert. Our kitchen is complete with everything you need to cook a meal and includes olive oil, balsamic, salt & pepper grinders, a few Starwest Botanical spices and fresh whole beans from local JT Coffee Co.   There is ample parking available in the covered carport or in the driveway in front of the house. We have a no contact check-in process and will provide you with a code to the lockbox a week prior to your check-in date. Nestled in north Yucca Valley, Flamingo Heights is a thoroughfare town that most travelers might not even notice. Come experience the Flamingo Heights magic and the transcendental pull of the freestanding Giant Rock with a blink-and-you-miss-it downtown featuring La Copine, Giant Rock Meeting Room, Moon Wind Trading Co, and Hero Market (oops! and the Dollar General). Nearby is Lander's with the US Post Office, Gubler's Orchids, Giant Rock, and the Integratron. Flamingo Heights is rural with dirt roads off of 247. Walking and bikes will work, but you will most likely want a vehicle. Bedroom 1 Queen bed, large closets, ceiling fan and sliding door access to the courtyard. All California Design Den linens and pillows are provided. Bedroom 2 King bed with option to make into 2 twin beds, large closet, ceiling fan and sliding door access to the backyard. All California Design Den linens and pillows are provided. Bedroom 3 Queen bed, large closet, ceiling fan and sliding door access to the back yard. All California Design Den linens and pillows are provided. Bathrooms 2 full bathrooms include California Design Den bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths; plus hand soap, shampoo, conditioner & body wash. Kitchen The large kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials, including pots and pans, plenty of dishes, glassware, utensils, and baking essentials. Plenty of outdoor friendly plates, cups and utensils –perfect for a snack poolside. Appliances include an electric cooktop, oven & microwave, toaster and dishwasher. The refrigerator is equipped with filtered water and ice maker. The coffee station includes Joshua Tree Coffee Company coffee beans, a 12 cup drip coffee maker with filters, a bean grinder and electric kettle. NO Parties - please choose another home if you are coming to party. GUESTS: Our nightly booking rates are set for 4 guests. We charge extra for your 5th & 6th guest. PETS: We are pet friendly! Pets are permitted with an additional pet fee of $150 which covers 1-2 pets. Additional pets incur a $50 pet fee and must be discussed beforehand. We cap out at 4 pets. We do provide a pet basket with sheets, towels, lint rollers and pick-up bags to use during your stay. No smoking or vaping indoors. An ash tray provided beside the garage out back. Pool and hot tub are serviced weekly and are chemically treated. The pool is located in the open outdoor desert and dust, dirt, debris and bugs can unfortunately sometimes make its way into the pool. For those times when our team is not there, we provide 2 nets in case you need to use to remove any debris. The spa is heated by a 250# propane tank so you will turn it on when you want to use it. Instructions are in our house binder in the kitchen. The pool is NOT heated; move from the spa to the pool for "contrast bath therapy" experience.
