'Campolina Trampolina' simple mountain view cabin

A fun place to stay with a great woodstove for simple living. Quirky cabin made of recycled materials with great views to the Preseli Hills. Chunky wood cladding made using recycled trampoline! Inside a peaceful feel. Close by is a very simple outdoor kitchen semi covered with a cold water sink and drainer and a 2 ring gas cooker. Cabin has a fridge+kettle. Also access to a shared shower room and loo in the camping filed about 3 minutes walk from the cabin. The space There is a sofa bed made up for you on arrival + a small fridge, a welsh dresser and dressing table and second sofa, as well as a woodstove and a + a small travel kettle and single electric cooking ring in case it is raining and it is harder to use the outside kitchen. The views are great out to the Preseli Mountains! The electricity supply is on a £1 electric coin meter set at cost price, there are a few sockets, but as yet the lights are table lamps, and usb lights. This is simple living, a place to lay your head and dream. Campolina is ideal for guests who want to be out and about in the day exploring. The other internal part of Campolina is in the process of being redone, it is perfectly usable and all very quirky, and has a woodburner and amazing views to the hills. There are one or two cosmetic things to finish still between guests. We provide bedding for the main bedsettee bed but not for the second sofa, if you want to make use of the second sofa bed it is only suited to small adults as it is only 70 cms long or 5' 10'' so please bring bedding for that. We do ask all our guests to please bring their own towels.Thank you! There is limited electricty enough to charge your phone + run an electric blanket on the bed for you on a timer so it is warm on arrival! Please note you can only use one heftier appliance that is electrical at one given time. Ideal for 1 person because the sofa bed is a small double size. Very cosy for 2 people to share. (most of year we allow a second or third guest, but not in the main school holidays) We do ask guests to please bring indoor and outdoor footwear please, and towels and a torch if you don't have a mobile phone, We also ask guests to bring their own towels please+to a few pound for the electricity meter. There is a shared simple outside kitchen area close to you. And the shower and loo in the camping field is available to you too. There is also a compost toilet you are welcome to use closer to Campolina especially useful at night. It is a sit down loo for everyone as it's a seperator toilet. There is WIFI in the garden in a certain area where there is a table and seating.. Although generally the mobile signal is poor in the hills. If you are with EE the signal is very good! The walks are stunning and there is a communal firepit on the moor. Lovely gardens semi wild - semi cultivated which give you a private feel. There is direct access to the moor with sheep and wild ponies grazing + an ancient stonecircle. At night you see an amazing show of stars if it is a clear sky, as we have no street lights or light pollution. We are just 5 minutes walk from Gors Fawr stonecircle. Please note: There is a temporary tarpaulin on the roof atm and ropes holding it down, it is absolutely watertight but looks a bit weird. New roof will be coming soon, it got damaged in the storms!! The Campolina is a work in progress! Also various upgrades are happening between guests staying! Guest access We have parking at the bottom area of our small field, or in the layby on the track as well as our car park is usually full. However you are welcome to drive up to unload. Other things to note Please note we ask guests to remove outdoor footwear. Also there are a few places for people to stay and so you will hear voices from other guests at times - most people staying here are looking for a peaceful and quiet break here. We advise people to bring hot water bottles and extra blankets if staying in the cooler months. We are quite remote so we suggest it is a good idea to stop off to get shopping en route. Also if you want to eat out, it is a fair drive from here to a place that does food, so it may be an idea to eat out on your journey as well. There is a small amount of electricity in Camp[olina and it is on a £1 coin meter, at cost price. There is a concector heater and fridge and travel kettle as well as a single cooking ring + an electric balnket and some lights. Please do not use the electric heater at the same time as the 1 ring electric hob, apart from that you should be fine. There is now a woodstove in Campolina, we supply a few logs for your first fire, and yafter that you can buy Kindling and Logs locally Campolina has no key, it is a very safe here, and there has never been a problem, but should you be concerned please leave valuables in your car. Most of the quirky places here have no key. If you prefer you can book the Mountain view Lodge which have a Yale lock and a key.
