We do not charge the extra person fee when they are children under 14 yrs. It is one of 5 cottages on the child friendly Les Vallaies domain sharing the pool, games barn and play garden. In the heart of the French countryside with lovely countryside walks and cycle rides in all directions, experience the real France! Please note this property is for FAMILIES ONLY. If you have older teens over 16 or are an adult only group we have more suitable accommodation in the same area with swimming pool so please enquire first to see whether this property will be suitable or not. It is a NO SMOKING property including on the terrace area as the cottages are attached and the terraces close together so smoking will affect families next door with young children and babies. To smoke you must be off the property. We have other more suitable properties, please enquire. WE ALSO HAVE OTHER COTTAGES AVAILABLE ON THE SAME SITE, if you have younger children ask about our garden cottages where they can run in and out to the play garden freely. We also have another property nearby which is also exclusively for families, there?s something to suit all tastes and budget On the ground floor there is an open plan living dining area and a medium sized raised kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, 4 ring gas hob, work top electric oven/grill, microwave, fridge freezer, electric kettle and all basic crockery and cutlery for a comfortable child friendly self catering holiday. An open tread, steep, wooden staircase takes you to the first floor with double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, all of which have draws and hanging space. there is a modern bathroom with bath, shower facility, toilet and basin, with loads of hot water and good pressure. The open plan living / dining area has a couple of wide steps leading from the sitting area which cannot be blocked easily which may be an issue for families with toddlers. We have other cottages more suited to families with young children, just ask. The holiday gite has a small enclosed patio area to the front .with outdoor dining table and chairs and charcoal barbecue . It looks out onto the pool area. The terrace has a wooden gate with child safety latch but would suit families with older children best. The thick stone walls create a cellar like effect and in the heat of the summer, the cottage is a welcome escape from the midday sun. Cot, high chair, booster seat, change mat, toys and books, stair barriers, potty and toilet seat , plastic crockery and cutlery, toddler step an hand blender are standard items in all the cottages. Wifi throughout the house. To access the communal play garden you must exit the pool side, pass by the parking area and village lane and re enter the property ie young children must be accompanied to the communal play area. Guest access You have the whole house, private terrace exclusively for your use. You will share the play garden, games barn and swimming pool. Other things to note We welcome families with young and older children on site. Families with older teens must appreciate we are a family friendly site where families with children and babies come first there is therefore NO SMOKING anywhere on the property including your outdoor terrace - you must leave the property entirely. WE have quiet time after 9pm and no music or radio should be heard outside your cottage for the comfort of everyone please where headphones. Please ask if you are unsure as to our suitability for your group. The gites are in the countryside, it is a 4km drive to the boulangerie and 12km to the supermarket. It is an hour to the beach. Please look at our location before booking. The rural nature of the cottages is why families return year after year but will not suit everyone. The gites have been converted from 200 year old stone farm buildings, they have exposed stone walls which can shed dust, the floors are old wooden floorboards which may creak, there are nooks and crannies where a spider may lurk - they are not whitewashed modern apartments, so if that's what you want, go elsewhere! These are simple rustic gites - they are thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and everything will be in working order as we clean and check everything ourselves, if something is not quite right - tell us! You cannot charge your electric vehicle from our supply, it is against our insurance policy as it is a fire risk as we do not have a dedicated charging facility and also have a limited electricity supply. There are numerous charging facilities in the local town NO PETS . We have a stand alone villa in the area with a private pool which is available to adult only groups, please ask for details. An optional cleaning service charge of 65€ can be paid for onsite, otherwise you must clean the cottage yourself.The pool is heated between 1st June and end of August only.
