A totally unique, spectacular and magical four-bedroomed cottage situated within a woodland conservation area overlooking the sea. Together with its beautifully landscaped gardens, Woodland Cottage is truly an idyllic spot. It is sheltered and private, and literally teeming with quirky spaces equally perfect for tranquility, adventure, or spending quality time with family and friends. The space The living room has unspoilt and secluded views over the garden and the sea beyond, with a modern wood-burning stove, a quirky coffee table made out of driftwood and a large canvas canvas painting of the the Needles. From the dining room next door, two large sliding doors open out to the woodlands and garden. The dining room table is hand-built with recycled timbers, the dresser a very old French farmhouse unit, painted in chalk paint. The master bedroom features a large cedar-decked balcony overlooking the sea and the woodlands, a great place to watch the kids playing in the woods, the famous red squirrels darting up the oak tree, or simply enjoying a glass of wine watching the yachts sail by. There is also has a fabulous en-suite wet-room with large walk-in shower, a designer basin and mirror with integrated lights. The second double bedroom is characterful and spacious and also overlooks the sea, with lovely warm original Victorian floorboards underfoot, and some unusual white chalk painted up-cycled bedroom furniture. The king size beds in both double rooms have comfortable pocket-sprung mattresses. Next to the two double bedrooms upstairs is the twin bedroom, suitable for kids and adults alike (they are full-sized beds). The beds are again, brand new and have very high quality pocket sprung mattesses. The twin bedroom overlooks the woodlands at the rear. Downstairs there is a single or twin room (please ask if you want twin beds) in a downstairs room away from the other three bedrooms. The perfect place to put the noisy ones or somebody who has difficulty with stairs. There's also a desk with an iMac that guests can use. The third shower room in the cottage is close to both the front door and the downstairs bedroom, a perfect place to shower off the kids after a day at the beach or a muddy adventure in the woodlands. ​ Woodland Cottage also features a brand new hand-built kitchen, with large windows overlooking the woodlands, with a new stainless steel 'American-style' side-by-side fridge/freezer with drinks dispenser and ice machine. The kitchen also features a microwave, an integrated dishwasher and a washing machine. The family bathroom features modern and quirky 'aqua blue' designer cabinets, and a lovely curved 'eco' bath/shower combination with built in shower controls. ​ The best feature of this cottage is the huge private woodlands and garden. There's outside seating and tables in multiple places, each one best placed to catch the sunshine for either breakfast, lunchtime, or the sunset barbeque. There's plenty to entertain the kids too in this fully enclosed space. And for the observant, the gardens attract plenty of wildlife, including the notoriously shy Isle of Wight red squirrel.
