The space This is a quirky, c.300 year old building and is part of a group of buildings on the Ambleside Heritage Trail that are the oldest in the town. The site was the first to be settled in what is now Ambleside, over 1,000 years ago. It is constructed of Lakeland stone and is Grade 2 Listed. The walls are 2 feet thick and the interior contains ships timbers salvaged from the Cumbrian coast. The kitchen and wet room are new and contemporary, yet blend with the old world feel of the apartment. There is always plenty of hot water to relax under the shower after a day in the fells and the wood burning stove provides a cosy focal point in the evenings.
