Embrace the essence of this traveler's paradise where diversity meets artistry and adventure awaits. ●8x8 Foot Stock Tank Pool: Open from May 1st - November 1st or until the fall foliage/freezing temps take over. Heated for cooler weather (heating not available from May 31 - August 31). For heated months. the first tank of propane is on us. After that, it's $30 per tank. One tank provides around 8-14 hours of pool time depending on outside temps. ●Firepit: Open all year long, wood is provided. ●Tiki Lounge: Located in the garage and available for guest use. Heat or air conditioning available during cool/hot months. We highly recommend you avoid the Tiki Lounge in extreme heat (90°+) or cold (below freezing) even with the heater or A/C, the unit can have trouble keeping up as the space is not well insulated. URBAN CENTER: Close in proximity to Concourse park, The Colonnade Monument, Kessler Park and its abundance of trails including disc golf, Kansas City Museum, Back Door Pottery, J. Rieger & Co. Distillery, Knuckleheads Saloon, and PH Coffee. Minutes from Power and Light Nightlife in Downtown, Crossroads Arts District, and River Market. The 11 bus stops directly outside of the house at the corner of St. John and Askew. Northeast corner for heading west (towards downtown). Southwest corner for heading east. 12 minutes by bus will have you in the heart of downtown next to Power and Light district. From there, connection to the free Union Station/River Market Trolley is available. Uber/Lyft pretty much anywhere in the city for $15 or less. Westport (15 min), Nelson- Atkins (14 min), Plaza (16 min), North KC (10 min), River Market (6 min), West Bottoms (9 min), Strawberry Hill (10 min), Arrowhead and Kauffman (13 min), casinos vary (7-15 min), Starlight Theatre (17 min). For majority of Kansas City, I do not recommend walking at night as a rule. If there are a lot of other people out in the area you should be fine. Please be aware that this home is located in an urban neighborhood near the city center, abundant with cultural diversity and many different ethnic groups. This factor is certainly part of the charm and makes it so easy to find wonderful cuisines from all over the world nearby, but knowledge of what to expect when staying in a big city will be helpful.
