Description
Our farm is a peaceful respite from the harried pace of life most people contend with. We respect our guests' privacy, but are always available if needed. We strive to provide our guests with the same beauty, security and peace we have enjoyed on the island for 30 years. We encourage guests to enjoy the property, visit the chickens, and walk the orchards and flower & vegetable fields. The space This beautiful, art-filled space sleeps up to 4 and features an open layout, shoji bedroom doors, a cook’s efficient kitchen with a gas range, butcher block island, and intimate dining area all looking through the tree canopy. Walk our organic flower and vegetable farm, visit our popular and well-stocked farm stand for fresh veggies, flowers, eggs, and much more from local producers. Enjoy the peace, quiet, and privacy of nature and farm rhythms. The farm is a short walk to a beautiful preserve and the beach. In the summer months we offer a dedicated outdoor seating area for guests to unwind with a book, enjoy morning coffee, an evening drink, or just to listen to the birds chirp. We are happy to recommend boating or kayaking excursions for our guests with reputable local companies. Guest access Our guests have access to the entire property and love to walk through the flower and vegetable gardens, have a picnic in the orchard, grill outside on the lawn, watch the chickens, or shop the honor-system farm stand. We are a working farm so you'll likely see us working out in the gardens. Children must be supervised at all times. If visiting the hens, we ask that you let us know so we can introduce you and show you where their feed is. Other things to note The family-friendly Beach Store Cafe is within walking distance. There are Artist Tour weekends four times a year when artist studios are open to the public. Our farm stand here at Full Bloom Farm offers fruit, vegetables, flowers, eggs, cheese, pasta, and much more from local producers. There is good, safe biking all around the island. FERRY INFORMATION: For guests traveling April 26 thru May 11, 2025 please be aware that the Whatcom Chief car ferry goes out of service for yearly maintenance (dry dock). During this time, the island is serviced by a foot passenger ferry only. Please message us if you are interested in visiting us during this time and we'll help you plan your trip.
