Enjoy this luxury townhouse in the Barrio de Salamanca in an exclusive historic neighborhood and experience in Madrid of comfort, tranquility and beauty just a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Madrid. Casa del Berro has been published in various media specialized in architecture and decoration such as Plataforma de Arquitectura, the magazine AD (Architectural Digest) Spain, Arquitectura Viva or Leibal. Casa del Berro has an area of 240 square meters distributed on four floors. It's our usual home, where we live with our two young children, and we'd like you to enjoy this special place as much as we do. The renovation was designed by the award-winning and prestigious architectural firm Jimenez & Linares, and has been carefully decorated by the interior designer Rosario Linares. In the reform, noble materials have been used such as the oak floor, the travertine and carrara marble of the bathrooms or the pigeon stone of the kitchen floor and the façade or the artisanal Granada clay in the courtyard. The house transmits serenity and calm in addition to being very comfortable and functional. Combine design and modernity with warm decor, natural materials, and carefully chosen vintage pieces. Here you can enjoy absolute tranquility, since there is no noise, no traffic or neighbors, we are in a townhouse of a quiet historic colony in the center of Madrid! If you search the Internet for the "colonia de Fuente del Berro" you will see that it is a coveted oasis in the middle of the Madrid capital where some well-known personalities have lived and are currently living in our country. Casa del Berro has a South orientation and is flooded with light. A staircase is integrated into the space thanks to a 6-meter-high and its own design painted steel lattice, which has been created by cutting it with a laser and through which light is filtered creating a special play of lights and shadows. The colony has a security checkpoint with barrier, it is a very familiar and safe area. You can also park for free on your front door. A real luxury in the center of Madrid. In the house you can find vintage designer pieces that are for sale. If any pieces fall in love with you, please ask us. On the ground floor we find an open area where there is the huge wooden kitchen, with induction hob. We have two large refrigerators and a freezer. One of the refrigerators and half of the freezer is at your service. In the kitchen there is an area with a leather sofa and a footrest and a TV. We also found the dining room flooded by natural light. From the kitchen you access an English courtyard of Mediterranean decoration where you can relax with the sound of the fountain and be able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the shade in summer. On this floor there is a room with a 90 cm bed and there is also a toilet. The first floor, where the entrance door to the property is located, is surrounded by a patio with Mediterranean vegetation and aromatic plants, a couple of lemon trees, a jasmine, and a vine, where you can eat in the sunny days of autumn, winter and spring. The patio floor is clay made by artisans from Granada. Upon entering the house we find an open space where there is a designer lounge with a footrest where you can read or relax, a bibilioteca, a large TV hidden by one of the built-in closets in the living room, two sofas and two armchairs and a travertine marble coffee table. In this space we also find a corner as an office open to the living room with a table to work and a Mac. On the second level we find two bedrooms. The master bedroom, with built-in closet, super King Size bed with a 180 x200 mattress and an en-suite bathroom with travertine marble. The bathroom overlooks a dressing room, which is private, since Casa del Berro is our usual home and we need a place where we can store our things during your stay, but do not worry, you have at your disposal the closet of the three-door room, where you will have plenty of room to store your clothes. In the bedroom opposite we find two beds of 90 cm, and a wardrobe with two doors. It has an en suite marble bathroom and a Jacuzzi tub where you can relax after visiting Madrid. In addition to the closet in the room, which is at your entire disposal to store your clothes, there is a built-in closet inside the bathroom, where we store our children's toys and board games that are at your disposal. On the fourth floor, the lower deck we find another bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a work table. Here is a double bed with a 140 cm mattress and a work table with an ergonomically designed chair. Here we also have low fitted wardrobes throughout the room, we enable two of them so you can comfortably store your clothes, the rest we use for storage. Do not miss a walk in the romantic style park that is 3 minutes away, El Berro fountain park, it is a real delight where real dreads walk, which also walk through the colony. More than once we have come out of cas and met a peacock at the door! Guest access The house is fully rented. Other things to note The cleaning fee includes cleaning before you enter the house and cleaning after your stay. We can offer you an additional cleaning service during your stay if you wish from Monday to Friday and sometimes we can arrange cleaning on Saturdays, depending on availability. Let us know when you book so we can arrange it. As for food at home, we can offer you an additional chef service, also on notice, but if you prefer an economical and comfortable option and want to enjoy homemade food, five minutes from our house there is a Spanish food store to take away authentically homemade that cooks a lady with virgin olive oil and top quality products. Every day you have different delicious dishes that will surprise you. We have little time to cook but we do not like the feeling of heaviness that lets you eat in a restaurant, so we usually buy food in this store. Please note that this is a family home and a quiet neighborhood. We are happy to share our home with you, but we ask that you please take care of this wonderful place as if it were your home and respect the tranquility of the neighbors so that we can continue sharing this space with more people.
