Description
If you've been looking for the tiny house experience, look no further. Michelle and Chris built this tiny house to live as eco-friendly, comfy, and healthy as possible. Built with only non-toxic and all natural materials with a state of the art fresh-air system. Two heating systems for the winter. Enjoy wildlife or relaxing at the river bend on our 5-acre property or explore the awesome attractions close by: winery, New Paltz downtown, “gunks” rock climbing, Minnewaska State Park, and more! The space With our goal of healthy living, the house is equipped with an organic king mattress (yes! king bed in a tiny house!), organic sheets, and organic pillows. The couch futon is also organic wool with natural latex. No off-gassing materials in the home. All the cabinetry and woodworking is custom--we hope you'll enjoy the love that was put into our first home. We're so excited to add that the tiny house is now solar-powered! Thank you to all our guests for staying with us and supporting our family and homestead! Guest access Please park on the left side of the driveway in front of the yellow-lined parking block. This parking spot is adjacent to the walking path to the tiny house, which is on the left side of the garage. The tiny house is about 100ft from the driveway. An aluminum cart is provided to move a lot of luggage. The cart is located on the side of the garage--on the way to the tiny house. The garage has a nice floodlight, but the path to the tiny house isn't illuminated (future plans are in place to add lights along the path). Please use your phone's flashlight or stop by the main house if you need a flashlight. Other things to note 1. Stairs are steep and have alternating treads; easier than a ladder. 2. Kitchen is fully equipped but no oven. 3. Tiny house=tiny water heater: expect short showers. Hot water replenishes within approximately 20 minutes. 4. Composting toilet is user-friendly: just cover your business with sawdust; between sawdust and exhaust fans, odors are not an issue. 5. Quality coffee grounds available for each morning. 6. Buy firewood in town to burn in our fire-pit area.
