Cherry Barn is a pretty barn conversion on the outskirts of the quiet village of Dufton, lying on the eastern fellside of the Eden Valley. This traditional sandstone barn has been tastefully converted into a 2-bedroom holiday home which retains a good deal of charm and character. Surrounded by stunning scenery, the converted barn has excellent views to be enjoyed from the living area of Dufton Pike, a short journey away is Dufton, which has a good pub on the village green and is on the Pennine Way. There is excellent walking and cycling from the doorstep and one of the highlights is High Cup Nick which is a spectacular geological feature and walkers are rewarded with an amazing view along the Eden Valley to the Lakeland fells. The ancient, attractive market town of Appleby, three miles, stands on the River Eden and is on the famous and scenic Carlisle to Settle train line. Dufton provides a good base from which to explore the contrasting but equally beautiful Lakes and Dales National Parks. The Scottish border and Hadrian’s Wall are also an easy, pretty drive away. Have an afternoon tea at the tea room, 200 yards, or an evening meal in the pub with restaurant, 200 yards. Free WiFi Can comfortably fit up to 4 people
