Located just 1 hour from Las Vegas & 1 hour from Death Valley, our spacious property is just over an acre. Falcon Cottage is located at the far rear of our property and is safe, private, fenced, & secure. The huge desert landscaped yard is a beautiful place to swim, have a fire, play giant Jenga, roast marshmallows, relax, read, play horseshoes, cornhole or darts, & enjoy amazing stargazing at night. The cottage is large, comfortable, & designed to make you feel right at home. The space The 1100 sqft Falcon Cottage has been fully renovated with brand new flooring, paint, kitchen cabinets, molding, and an all-new massive front patio with furniture, games, grills, and dining tables. The cottage is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We want you to feel at home here and have a very relaxing stay. Located just 1 hour from the Las Vegas strip and 1 hour from Death Valley, we are an excellent central point for your Mojave desert adventures. Don't miss our large collection of Death Valley hiking guides and informational books! Sprawl out on the cushy living room sectional and watch a movie on the 55" smart TV ready to go with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Curiosity Stream & other streaming services, and some local Las Vegas channels. There are 2 workspace desks so you can comfortably distance learn or work. We have an all-new kitchen in the cottage! The kitchen appliances are an XL countertop oven (see photos), a microwave, and an electric double burner hotplate (see photos). We provide pots, pans, cooking utensils, knives, and silverware. We have stocked the kitchen for family meal prep but if there is anything you run into that you need please don't hesitate to ask. We supply breakfast bars, oatmeal, cookies, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and other snacks to make your stay more comfortable. The large covered cottage patio is set up for comfort and to be a fun additional living space. There is a beautiful cozy sectional, 2 dining tables, and an outdoor cooking station with 2 grills, 1 propane (provided), and 1 charcoal (charcoal not provided). There is a large poolside seating area, a massive custom stone fire pit, large enough to burn pallets with Adirondack seating, and tons of yard games including; horseshoes, giant wooden dice for yard Yahtzee, Viking bowling, darts, XL checkers, and bowling. There is also a swing set and lots of local desert plants. We supply pool towels and leave them out beside the pool for our guests. The king bed is an extremely comfortable Swedish memory foam that molds to you and the full-size sofa bed in the bedroom is a new LaZBoy. There is a full-size closet and dresser for guest storage. In the closet, there is an air bed, additional bedding & pillows, a high chair, pack n play, as well as an iron and ironing board. We also have a full-size bed in the living room, a twin-size daybed with a twin trundle & a twin mattress available for more sleeping space. Bedroom: 1 King bed 1 full sofa pullout bed 1 twin mattress cot is available upon request Common area: 1 full bed 3 twin beds (1 daybed, 1 trundle, and 1 air mattress in the bedroom closet) Large sectional with room for 2 if needed Pack n' Play crib available in the bedroom closet (as well as a high chair) Please let me know if you would like me to have any of the additional beds made up and ready prior to your arrival & I would be happy to do that for you. We love kids and welcome families! We keep a bookshelf stocked with many things for the kids! We have coloring books, crayons, books, toys, puzzles, and games for children, families, and adults. Guest access You will have exclusive, private use of the cottage, pool & surrounding garden area during your stay. The pool is not shared with me or any other guests during your stay. To ensure guest comfort and a quality experience, we strictly adhere to a 6-guest maximum. Please note the cottage has one bathroom. You are welcome to the entire large cottage and patio portion of the property in addition to the pool yard. You are welcome to use the pool toys, yard games, grill, patio furniture, and firepit. We have a separate side parking, dog kennel, and play area for our children that is private for our family. It is marked as private. Please use things with care and tie the pool floats back up so they don't blow into a cactus. ***It does get cold in the desert so please keep the weather in mind. Our rural property is just over an acre and your private cottage is located at the far rear of the property. We live in the home at the front of the property. Please see the aerial photo in the listing, the cottage is further from our home than most people are from their neighbor's Other things to note Please always have a parent or guardian watching children in the pool area. No lifeguard. Swim at your own risk. We have some beautiful native cacti incorporated into the landscaping of the backyard. They are not in the walking paths but please be careful. ***It does get very cold in the desert, swimming in the winter is a polar plunge BRR. Comfortable swim temps for most are from mid-May until October*** We live on-site in the main house but leave the guests entirely alone to enjoy their privacy. The pool and surrounding yard are exclusively yours during your stay. We are available if you need us.
