We offer renters a large private upstairs apartment in our barn house. It is cozy and quiet, with a porch. Perfect for a unique country stay just outside of Champaign. The space -Upstairs apartment with lots of natural light from skylights -Access via stairs -Large and private parking area and entrance, plus shared exit -Two large bedrooms (one with a king+ bunk bed (full bottom + twin top), one with a queen+ twin, beds can be rearranged on request for longer stays) -One large bathroom -Large combined living/dining/kitchen space -Full well-equipped kitchen -Surrounded by large yard, prairie, and small orchard -Large porch (unscreened) -Sunroom -Walk-in closet Guest access Our home is literally a red barn, and is surrounded by tallgrass prairie and an orchard/garden. There is lawn all around and there is a big open space for kids to play just in front of the apartment. You will have an entire ~1300 ft2 upstairs apartment in our home. The apartment has its own private parking and entrance. The main apartment entrance is a staircase going to the porch, and then into a lovely sun room. If you are so inclined, you can walk through the prairie and enjoy its seasons, or help as we build our "hobby farm" and tend berries, orchard trees, and gardens. If it is the right season, you could even help with the canning! Other things to note (1) Though the apartment is quite separate from our living space, this property is our home; we request respectful behavior. (2) Parties that are interested in longer stays should message us. We are currently blocking off a few days during the work week to let the apartment sit empty before possible weekend reservations. We are open to stays of a week or longer, with appropriate discounts, so please contact us with specific dates and we will work it out! 3) Our covid plan to keep guests and ourselves safe: -We have at least 3 days between guests. -We sanitize all surfaces, light switches, doorknobs, bathroom, etc with bleach prior to each guest. -All laundry is done, dried in a machine with heat. -We do not greet guests anymore, but allow you to check-in without contact from us, and all communication is via text/airbnb app. -There are only a few items like games, condiments, single-serve packets of coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer that we have left in the apartment. We have clorox wipes available if you care to use any of them. -We all restrict our visits into town as much as possible, and wear masks in the company of others.
