Just imagine the excitement you’ll be feeling as you enter this recently modernised lodge in the country for the first time. It’s going to be all yours for however long you’ve booked it. You’re likely to have already seen the amazing countryside that surrounds the property. Open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area There are luxury and homely touches aplenty to be found here. You’ll probably head to the kitchen first to store the food you’ve brought with you. A large fridge freezer and plenty of cupboard space will help you do that. And when you’re ready to cook, brilliant breakfasts, sumptuous snacks and delicious lunches and dinners can all be prepared using the high specification appliances in the kitchen. Luxuries are to be found in the form of a wine fridge, Quooker tap, Nespresso machine and underfloor heating. There is breakfast bar seating which offers a great place to grab a snack or watch whoever’s cooking, or just to enjoy the amazing views. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining table, a great place for all to gather for a meal perhaps to celebrate the special occasion that’s brought you all here. Or maybe just sit down for a more informal lunch or dinner? Either way, clear away the plates (there’s a dishwasher here too) and you’ll create table space for work or for evening card or board games if that’s your thing. Or you can all move the short distance to the lounge area where you’ll find a wall mounted flatscreen TV and modern fireplace surrounded by a large corner sofa which invites you to kick off those walking boots and relax, remote in hand. Whatever’s showing on screen, you’re sure to be equally captivated by the view through the large concertina doors that open to give you access to the outside. Outside space The upper balcony overlooks a picturesque lake and leads to an extensive paved and decked area with a gas BBQ (which is connected to the mains), table and chairs, two Adirondack recliners and 4 Adirondack chairs which surround the built-in stone fire pit. There is a spiral staircase that leads to the lower balcony which also has views over the lake and where the hot tub is situated. To the front of the house is an additional decked area and lawn. It all adds up to great places for you to gather for food and fireside chats or the chance to find a quiet spot for some me-time. Either way, don’t forget to bring some marshmallows to toast! 3 bedrooms Back inside and to the bedrooms, one of which is upstairs with the other two being downstairs. Between them, you get one king bed and two super king beds (one of which can be converted to twin beds). Please let your host know how you want this bed arranged ahead of your arrival. Both of the downstairs bedrooms have large patio doors that open onto the lower balcony, where you will find the hot tub and amazing views of the lake. 2 bathrooms You get to choose between a long and lazy soak in a large bath tub or an invigorating shower in the lodge’s luxury downstairs bathroom. Your host will ensure that soft and fresh towels plus toiletries are available for all guests to use. Utility room There is a good sized utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Because exploring the countryside and playing on the beach can get a little messy at times!
