Villa Lofoten - The Saltery

The Saltery is a gem of vernacular architecture, situated in the harbour of the fishing village named Kvalnes. Here you can stay exclusively, quietly and have many different experiences. The Saltery is recently fully restored and centrally located in Lofoten between the towns of Leknes and Svolvær. Suitable for up to 6 persons. Minimum 3 nights stay. The space The ground floor is an open space with a kitchen and dining space, fireplace and a bathroom by the stairs leading up to the first floor. Upstairs we find a lounge with a view out to the ocean as well as two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have double beds (160cm and 180cm). On the second floor is another sitting room with a sofa-bed as well as two bedrooms, each with two beds. The Salt House was one of the first buildings to be raised on the new quay, in the late 1920's. In the Salt House they salted cod on the ground floor. The rest of the house was split between living quarters for fishermen and storage space for tools and fishing equipment. Guest access Access to the whole property.
