This is a very peaceful getaway. Newly renovated boathouse located on the mouth of the Rock River and Lake Koshkonong. This is a one of a kind property as close to the water as you can get. The cottage is also close to restaurants, nightlife, and marinas where you can rent boats and jetskis. The Cottage is a great couples escape or a safe place for one person to come for a get away. With added touches of a whiskey barrel sink, industrial interior design, your own personal beach, personal garden and a unique spot that you can watch both the sun rise and sun set. There is a full sized gas grill and fire pit for your use as well as a canoe that can be used for the duration of your stay. You will leave feeling rested and refreshed. We live a short distance away in town so we aren’t far away if you need something. Close to marinas, restaurants, and campgrounds. There is a ton of nightlife in the area so you can listen to bands or get a nice meal. In the neighborhood there are several unique experiences to be had from ax throwing, driving ranges, as well as boat rentals. You would most likely use a car if you were staying here. You can park down below there’s plenty of parking space. Just go slowly down the hill. The drive is quite steep. The property has limestone cliffs on two sides as well as a retaining wall by the water. It isn’t appropriate for small children or large parties. It’s more of a couple’s get away spot. It has very steep stairs so please be aware of that when booking. There is a parking lot by the river for the owners of the boats on the pier. Don’t be alarmed you will have your own concrete drive away from them. Rentals can be made across the bridge at the Anchor Inn. If you own your own boat, we now have room at the pier for you to dock it and keep it on the property during your stay. With the marina right next door it’ll be easy to put your boat in and take out at the end of your stay. Note: depending upon the time of year you can hear the traffic from the interstate.
