The Bower: magical place in the woods

Write your book, renew with your partner, slow down and unwind in a safe, soulful place. Special features of this place include over a hundred acres of woods with well maintained trails and two creeks. We also have a wood burning sauna you can use. We love when folks can enjoy this beautiful land and reconnect with what truly nourishes. The space The Bower is located in a community of artists, healers, farmers and world changers. The cabin is across from a wood burning sauna and next door to a small massage studio. The homes and gardens of the property owners are also on site. We are in 100+ acres of vibrant woods, full of flora and fauna. You are welcome to walk the trails and nature bathe. You will very likely hear owls, see box turtles, wild turkeys, great blue herons, black snakes, chickadees, and much more. When the weather is clear it's also a beautiful place to moonbathe and stargaze. Guest access We give you the access code to the Bower front door. Guests are free to enjoy the trails and grounds. The massage studio next to the Bower is often used for solo retreats. Please be mindful of the privacy of the residents and other guests. Thank you. Other things to note It very important to us to honor and care for the health of this land. That means using non-toxic cleaners and bath items. It also means that we do not use harmful pesticides to kill insects. We do our level best to keep spiders, lady bugs, stink bugs, lizards, mice, etc out of the cabin but please know that some of that comes with being in the woods. If you find an unwelcome guest inside during your stay just message us and we'll come take care of it for you. We have composting and recycling. Our furnishings are from antique fairs or gently used items...shabby chic. Our property is adjacent to a small green burial graveyard called Sanctuary at the Burrow. You are welcome to explore it while you are here. We have a little village inside of Pittsboro called The Plant. It is home to Kingston 99 Kitchen (Jamaican food) and Ta Contento (Mexican food). There is also a distillery, Fair Game Beverage Company, a meadery, Starrlight Mead, a brewery, bmc brewing as well as an art gallery, bike rentals, CBD stores, Hempsmith, a clothing store and a farmers market on Thursdays from 3-6pm. We are very close to Pittsboro (6 miles away). Raleigh is 25 minutes away. Chapel Hill is 30 minutes. Southern Pines is 45 minutes.
