The space The Lodge is set on a wooded hillside with beautiful views and manicured grounds. There are three outdoor dining areas in addition to the formal indoor dining room. It is a perfect place to reconnect with nature, your family and friends. Located in the Hudson Valley and lovely Putnam County "where the country begins". Dog policy: Dogs are allowed on a limited case-by-case basis. Let us know the type and breed of your dog before booking, and depending on the breed and size, we may accept & a small pet fee may apply. Also, we ask for agreement regarding responsibility for any damages. Guest access You will have private access to all areas of the Lodge & surrounding property except for: -THE CARETAKER'S CABIN & PARKING AREA which, is just to the side of the Lodge but separated from the Lodge by a privacy fence. -THE VARIOUS STORAGE & GARDEN SHEDS -THE ATTIC & THE BASEMENT. (If you need to go into the basement for breaker box, etc please contact us first.) Thank you! POSSIBLE PETS Allowed: Only in advance. and special case by case basis. Let us know breed , age, situation and we'll consider. A small add'tl fee may apply. Also, we'll discuss agreed responsibility agreement for any possible pet damage. Other things to note -The Pool is 24 ft round and approx 5ft deep & does have a gate. (It's not heated but warm most of the summer & solar cover is available). It's up above the house on the hillside about a 150ft path from the house. The 2 gates around the pool can be locked. Season is Mid May- begin Oct. -There are 2 parking areas. One up by the back side of the Lodge (avail for 2 cars), and the other is in a gravel street level parking area. (Guests parking area.) -There are 3 queen beds: 2 Master Suites+ a 3rd Bedroom, which is in a separate downstairs room that that has a Sleeper couch with down mattress pad, and closet and the room converts to a 4K TV screening room. -We also have 3 single day beds: 1 twin daybed in downstairs library room for one person. There are 2 built in cushion day beds upstairs in the favorite "tree house room" that open to back deck and adjoins the dressing room/Master Suite 1. It's best for naps and reading. -The Caretaker's cottage is occupied by our wonderful caretaker Effrain. Please leave the parking on his side of the fence. He does not use the property while guests are at the Lodge just the cottage and the tiny area around it but he does help take care of the property and the pool. He is avail if there is a problem but should be communicated first through us. -The Garage is at Street level- It's where the garbage and recycling receptacles are located. To access the garage, walk down the gravel path and then down the wooden steps to street level. Please note: it’s not ideal for car parking, but host could possibly make room for 1 vehicle upon advance special request.
