Situated in the stunning Cotswold stone hamlet of Sandford St. Martin 5 mins from Soho Farmhouse, Blenheim Palace (15 mins), Bicester Village (11 miles) and Jeremy C’s Diddly Squat Farm (8.5 miles) The space The Old Doctors Retreat is situated in the grounds of the beautiful Old Doctors House in the stunning hamlet of Sandford st. Martin. The house is situated at the end of the village with beautiful views over the countryside. This Gorgeous bolthole is self contained, so you are free to come and go as you please. The apartment has all new furnishings and guests can enjoy a luxury and comfortable finish. Entrance to your retreat is via an Oak wooden staircase to the side of the apartment, which takes you up to the first floor. At the top of the stairs before you enter the apartment, there is a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs for your use, soak up the lovely views of the surrounding countryside. As you enter through the front door, you will walk into the kitchen with a beautiful stone floor, the kitchen is light and bright. It has brand new cream units and oak worktops with a ceramic Belfast sink. There is a fridge, microwave oven, Smeg Kettle and Toaster and a Nespresso machine. The kitchen is fully equipped. We will provide tea, coffee, milk and sugar. Through a door to the right of the kitchen is a brand new well appointed vintage style luxury bathroom with a lovely shower. Straight ahead through the kitchen is the open plan bedroom/lounge with a 5ft Kingsize fabulously comfy bed with crisp The White Company bedding. The lounge area has a comfy sofa and footstool. FOR YOUR USE Smart tv, including Freeview. It also has the Netflix app if you would like to use your account. DVD player with a selection of DVDs to watch Free super fast Gigaclear broadband I have just installed a Bosch washing machine and Bosch tumble dryer inside the garage for your use. Please ask for the key when you arrive if you would like to use it during your stay. The Old Doctors Retreat is situated in a charming and unspoilt Cotswold stone hamlet, the church in the village dates back to the 12th century. It is the perfect area for romantic walks and visits to country pubs. Soho Farmhouse is a 5 minute drive from here (Members Only Club), alternatively you could bring your wellies and walk there via the cricket pitch and pretty bridleway, it takes about 30 mins. We are in a great location for exploring The Cotswolds, 15 min drive from Chipping Norton. 20 min drive to Bicester designer shopping village, 15 min drive to Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. 30 min drive to Oxford, 20 min drive to Jeremy Clarksons Diddly squat Farm. 25 min drive to Daylesford. If you are travelling on business and working with the Alpine F1 Racing team we are 1.2 miles from their Enstone Technical Centre. There is a small convenience shop in Middle Barton which is 1 mile away if you need basic provisions. There is a wonderful Deli in Great Tew, Quince & Clover, just 2 miles away, perfect for a sit in yummy breakfast or lunch, cake or ice cream or even a takeaway, open every day from 8.30-3pm (closed Tuesdays) . If you want more luxurious goodies, you can visit Eagles in Deddington Deli or Wykham Park Farm shop at Wykham near banbury, approx 15 mins drive. The nearest supermarkets are in Chipping Norton which is a 15 mins drive. Alternatively, you can arrange for supermarkets to deliver here. There is a wonderful farmers market in Deddington the last Saturday of each month from 8.30-12 with lots of local produce. NOTES Please note: There is a strict NO SMOKING policy. No Smoking or Vaping in the apartment or on our property, we are an anti-smoking family. Thank you for understanding. Be careful and use the handrail when going up and down the stairs. Sorry NO PETS. Please be aware that this is an upstairs property therefore please pay attention at all times to your little ones on the stairs and balcony. It is a gorgeous place and a fantastic location in a beautiful village with amazing views.
