Cattle Shed - close to stunning beaches!

Cattle Shed Cottage is situated in the rural village of Molleston and just two miles from the pretty market town of Narberth, with its delis, homeware and foodie shops, and just 15 minutes’ drive away from stunning beaches and seaside towns. Washfield Cottages have recently been awarded a 4* accreditation by Visit Wales, recognising the lengths we go to to ensure that you have a fantastic stay! The space Cattle Shed is the perfect family base from which to explore everything Pembrokeshire has to offer. Bursting with Welsh seaside charm and beautifully furnished Cattle Shed is fully equipped to make your stay stress free and as comfortable as possible. Cattle Shed's name is taken from the original use of the stone outbuilding and it's layout of rooms off a long corridor. With lots of character and celebrating all things Pembrokeshire the décor is designed to help you plan your time in Pembrokeshire, with photos of local sights and maps decorating the walls and a welcome pack brimming with ideas of places to visit, eat at and discover! INSIDE CATTLE SHED Opening into the hallway with hooks for your coats and a wellie stand outside for any muddy boots after exploring! Off the hallway is a bright and airy family bathroom with fully size bath and rainfall shower, with plenty of hot water to help you relax and unwind. We provide fluffy white towels and waffle bath robes for the whole family to ensure maximum comfort! A master double bedroom with a traditional style metal bed, feather duvets, pillows and welsh blankets for a great night’s sleep after all that fresh air. The bunk room is full of fun with its L-shaped bunk beds and seaside character. Beds are made up with feather pillows and duvets for an extremely comfortable night. Due to the configuration of the double room we can't put a cot in there, however there is room for one of our lovely wooden cots in the bunk room if needed. At the end of hallway is an open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen to help you cook up a storm. Including: induction hob and electric oven, all the utensils you could need, microwave, stick blender and a Nespresso machine. We set you up with everything you need to make teas and coffees on arrival so you can have a refreshing cuppa before you head out to explore. The dining area is set up for 4 people. Comfortable lounge area with three-seater sofa, arm chair and floor cushions. The TV has freeview channels, streaming apps and built in DVD player and there is a DAB radio so you can relax in comfort. We have books about the local area, DVDs and boards games. A cosy spot to unwind and reminisce about your day’s adventures. OUTSIDE SPACE Outside the front door is a bistro table and chair set perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The cottages have a communal garden set up with picnic tables looking across the fields where you can eat alfresco and are welcome to set up a barbeque or have a game of swing ball! New for February 2024 we have a outdoor heated barn area with tables, chairs and cushions to enjoy a morning coffee or relax into the evening. There's a tipi for children to play in and a play area to keep everyone entertained. We have off-street gated parking outside the cottages. Washfield Cottages has a communal laundry with free-to-use washer/dryers, a sink to wash down your muddy boots or sandy beach gear, secure bike storage, hanging space for wetsuits and outerwear as well as an outside hose for washing down wetsuits, surf boards etc. Visit Wales have awarded us with their Walking Friendly and Cycling Friendly accreditation, because of all the facilities we have to help Walkers and Cyclists enjoy Pembrokeshire. EXTRAS We welcome well behaved dogs in Cattle Shed. We provide dog blankets, towels and water sprays in the laundry so you can wash your dog off after exploring. Pembrokeshire is a dog walkers paradise! You can reserve a classic games console which will all be set up and ready for you stay! At Washfield Cottages we know from personal experience that travelling with children means a lot of luggage! To take the stress out of a family holiday we aim to provide everything you need. We have wooden cots and bedding, sterilisers, stick blenders, baby baths, highchairs, black out blinds, changing mats, baby towels and most importantly video baby monitors so you can enjoy an evening glass of wine overlooking the Pembrokeshire countryside. On booking you will receive an online form to customise your stay to suit you. Grain Store a lovely cosy one-bed, Farmhand Cottage our larger three-bed and also Hayloft and Milking Shed, which are family oriented two-beds. Guest access Guests have sole use of their booked cottage while also being able to use the communal garden. The laundry space is shared with all cottages.
