The stone floors, the original walls, the ceilings and the staircases have been restored to their original state using local stone and wood, retaining the character and charm of the original buildings whilst incorporating the comforts that any guest would expect. Our studios are ideal for couples, families or groups who enjoy peace and privacy and want to explore the traditions of Cyprus. Our village can provide you with whatever you need during your holiday. There is a mini market (Mpakalliko tou Xeni) available seven days a week, coffee shops and traditional tavernas serving local drinks and “mezedes” (small dishes of Cypriot cuisine). There’s also a church in the centre of the village and a small chapel for those who want to visit. While walking in the village, you will surely meet local people that will lead you wherever you need to go. The legendary quality of the light early in the morning and late in the afternoon thrills the artists and photographers that visit the narrow stone built paths and local valleys and beguiles those who are visiting just for enjoyment. Calmness is the biggest asset of Lofou, so we suggest you take full advantage of it so as to leave the village as refreshed as possible. Our guest-houses are situated in the heart of Lofou village, in a beautiful area, rich in the traditional Cypriot architecture. Hardly any traffic disturbs the atmosphere, so you can really appreciate the beauty of the place in peace. The scenic views and the narrow, stone built pedestrian paths that wind through the hills are rich in the local folklore and great spiritual traditions of Cyprus.
