Your private 2-bedroom apartment awaits on the lower level of our modern house in NE Seattle. The apartment is professionally cleaned before each stay following AirBnb’s cleaning protocol. Fully furnished with kitchen, gas fireplace, full bathroom, laundry, 2 bedrooms with 3 beds, sleeps up to 5 (plus a crib), 800 sq ft (75 sq m)—welcome to your comfortable home away from home in NE Seattle! The space The apartment is private with a separate entrance (down stairs on left side of house). There are two outside areas for guest use, including a small porch by the apartment entrance and a backyard patio overlooking our beautiful garden. The apartment is fully furnished, modern style, and private all on one level. The entrance and stairs to the apartment are gracious and well-lit. A bright and open kitchen and living room greets you upon entering, and two private bedrooms and a full bathroom with washer and dryer complete the space. Attractive art from near and far adorns the walls. Comfort and amenities abound, including: comfortable beds and large closets: full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and quartz counters; basic supplies, including coffee and tea; full bathroom with wide vanity, shower/tub, washer, and dryer; fast WiFi and TV with cable, DVD player, and Xbox 360; small library of books, DVD movies, and Xbox games. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking and has a full-size fridge, freezer with ice-maker, gas oven and range, microwave, and dishwasher. The table expands to comfortably seat 5 people. The hosts are kid-friendly, and child amenities include silicon/plastic plates and sippy cups, age-appropriate DVD movies, corner guards, and, upon request, a booster seat and Pack-n-Play crib. The apartment was built to modern standards and has energy efficient lighting and appliances, and cozy heating via a gas fireplace and per-room radiant heating. Energy use is offset by solar panels on the roof, and a large efficient hot water tank and recirculation system provides abundant hot water with no wait at the faucet. Located in a quiet residential location a few blocks from neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, grocery stores, yoga/exercise studios, and more. Close to beaches, bike trails, city parks, hospitals, Univ. of Wash., and easy access to city center via bus and light rail. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment (private from the rest of the house) and to the yard and garden. Street parking is free and plentiful and we ask guests to park in front of our house when possible to minimize impact on neighbors. Take the steps on the left side of the house down to the apartment entrance. A path beckons you to the backyard and a patio overlooking an inviting urban garden. Enjoy a quiet morning coffee on the porch, take a relaxing stroll in the garden, or have an dinner on the backyard patio under the shade of the table umbrella. Other things to note Before booking, please review our House Rules to ensure the apartment meets your needs. If there are 4 or 5 people in your group, please look at the photos and consider the bed layout and if the size of the apartment will meet your needs. A family of 4-5 with children who can share a bedroom is a great fit. But 5 adults may be more comfortable somewhere else with more bedrooms and bathrooms. The owners and hosts, Andrew and James, live upstairs. The house has sound-dampening insulation for a quiet, comfortable, and private space. However, you may hear muffled footsteps, music, or voices. Please be advised that there is a $20/night extra charge for a 4th or 5th guest each. Set the correct number of guests when booking to get an accurate price. Kids ages 2 and under are no charge. Also, on the Jewish Sabbath (Friday nights and Saturdays) and on Jewish holidays, we are "offline" and we do not check our phones, messages, texts, voice mail, email, etc during that time. Our response to messages sent on Friday nights and Saturdays will be delayed until Saturday night when we're back online. We apologize in advance if this causes any inconvenience.
