This is a real Amish built log cabin located in Central, WI. Located 30 min from WI Dells and 10 min to Castle Rock Lake/Petenwell Lake area. Close to State Parks and State bike trails. We only welcome responsible renters to share our family's treasured cabin, no party situations. Please be honest about # of guests to avoid eviction. The space This quality built log cabin located on 14 acres. The highlight of this cabin is the fully furnished, partially screened-in wrap around deck. Inside you will find a bright and open floor plan. The main floor provides a living room, full kitchen, and half bathroom. The large loft serves as the cabin's only bedroom and offers two queen sized beds and has a joining bathroom with shower for convenience. Guest access Guests will have the cabin to themselves. We only ask that guests do not use the basement except for laundry or storm shelter purposes as it is not set up for renter use at this time. There is one neighbor in sight that is rarely home, so the cabin is very private. There is one security camera mounted on the exterior of the cabin pointed towards the parking area. There are two exterior security cameras pointing at our garage. The decks, home, and most of the yard remains very private. In the Fall there may be hunters in the nearby woods, so if venturing out on our land or even State Park land plan to wear bright colored clothing. It is difficult to know where our land ends and the neighbors begin. Each home in the neighborhood sits on approximately 10-30 acres. If you wander around outside that is welcome, just try to stay on our backyard trail or in the yard. The backyard trail is shared with my neighbor(uncle) so it's not exclusive to the cabin. I will do my best to inform guests of possible hunting seasons. I find it more enjoyable to walk down the driveway to the road, walk to the right towards the stop sign. I've seen many deer, owls, bald eagles, turkeys, etc. Other things to note Fresh bed linens and towels are always provided. Also, we provide the following bathroom basics: shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet paper. The kitchen is stocked with all utensils one would need. In addition, we provide the following staples: flour, sugar, coffee, filters, spices, paper towel and garbage bags. Our cabin uses a septic system, therefore it is very important to follow our septic system rules to avoid costly repairs. Flush only toilet paper, no cotton swaps/balls, kleenex, or feminine products. In the kitchen all food must be removed from dishes prior to washing. If there is a greasy pan after a meal please let it cool and scrape it into the trash before washing. Failure to follow can result in expensive damage claims. Our water comes from a well and is tested annually and safe to drink. Sometimes the water is discolored (iron). If you prefer, water from the refrigerator is filtered and clear. No cable or satelite at this time, we have a large collection of DVD's. We use firesticks to control both TV's. We leave many streaming apps signed in. Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney+ please do not log these out as we will not provide our passwords. Firewood available for purchase on-site for $5 (cash only) a bundle for dry oak. Firewood from outside sources can be used in outside firepit only, certain woods are do more harm than good to our wood-burning stove, we find that oak is the best and that is what we provide. For stove absolutely no burning trash, random wood, unapproved fire-starters, or fire bricks -improper use can lead to injury/house fire. WINTER. Winter is a little challenging at the cabin but our most favorite time there. Extremely peaceful and beautiful in the snow. We hire someone to plow once a snowstorm passes. The short walk-way from the parking spot to the house may or may not be shoveled. Sometimes we can get there to shovel, sometimes guests don't mind a quick shovel, occasionally you may arrive and it's not shoveled depending on the timing of winter weather. Please wear appropriate winter footwear, and if you don't mind shoveling please do! It keeps the ice down. We do our best with that but can't always be there after every snowfall.
