The space Our one-of-a-kind home is truly unique, with lots of British touches, and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do! Enter through carved double doors: vast great room with detailed woodwork throughout, intricate carvings, soaring ceilings, lead-paned windows, huge gas fireplace, full-size antique pool / snooker table (with custom wood top to become a 12-seat dining table), grand piano, and wall of French doors leading to wraparound balcony with superb canyon views. Vast multi-level property features various decks, sun loungers and daybeds that get sunshine all day long. Dining table for 10 in the gazebo, double hammock, lounge seating with fire pit and cafe-style lighting, large built-in BBQ. Large, deep pool and oversized Jacuzzi. {Please see house rules for additional heating costs.} Wood-paneled media room with original "Fox & Hounds" English pub doors, and wooden Union Jack flag ceiling! Built-in wet bar, 4KHD projector & 80" screen, vast DVD collection. The adjoining kitchen can be accessed from both the great room and the media room. Traditional tiling, all appliances, pots & pans, a Keurig coffee maker, Breville juicer, blender, all cutlery, china, glassware, BBQ utensils. Eat-in table with lovely and sunny canyon views. Bedroom 1: Downstairs, the private master suite features a Cal-King sized bed, gas fireplace, empty walk-in closet with lots of hangers, 65" UHDTV with full cable channels, DVD/Blu Ray, surround sound, plus audio / ipod connections that also power the outdoor audio system. Sliding French doors open onto the rear deck. Private ensuite bathroom with huge double step-in shower and separate double vanity. Bedroom 2: Queen sized bed, empty wardrobe and chest of drawers, new baby crib, with views onto the deck / canyon through sliding French doors. Bathroom 2: Full bathroom with tub / shower combo, large wall of mirrors, vanity. Bedroom 3: Double bed, large empty walk-in closet, lots of hangers, small flat screen TV, large writing desk, gorgeous views through the large picture window. Bathroom 3: Full bathroom with a bath / shower combo, large mirror, vanity. Ensuite to Bedroom 4 and unit can be 'closed off' from the 3rd bedroom. Bedroom 3 can use bathroom 2 or 3. Bedroom 4: Full-size bed, double sofa bed (with newer extra mattress), large sliding closets & lots of hangers, antique writing desk. Access via side door (keypad) from outside stairs, or via Bedroom 3. Bathroom 4: Located upstairs, between the great room & media room, has a step-in shower, WC, and vanity. Located in the Carpenter School District, for those seeking a longer lease. We are just off the famous Laurel Canyon Blvd, 3 minutes from Ventura Blvd: shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, gas stations, etc Sunset Strip 10 minutes away, and nearby the Grove and Farmer's Market, the Beverly Center, Beverly Hills and more. 5 minutes to 101 freeway, 2 exits from Universal Studios, 3 exits from Hollywood & Highland, Mann’s Chinese Theater, the Egyptian Theater, the Walk of Fame, etc. Fryman Canyon hiking - 5 mins. Griffith Park – Hollywood sign, Hollywood Observatory, hiking, riding – 10 mins. Beaches - 40 minutes away. Guest access Certain closets in the house contain personal items and are locked / padlocked. The 3 fridges in the garage are also locked. You can use the top / side freezer sections of 2 of those fridges. You will have full access to the whole house and grounds. Parking for 2 cars in the driveway. Large washer & dryer located in the garage. Other things to note The cleaning fee is for the move-out clean only. All stays require a weekly cleaning by our trusted housekeeper. This is $120 p/w and is charged to you via extra services (so as not to incur additional fees on the original booking). This is a non-negotiable. We have moved over to 30 day rentals only. We offer the house at a very favorable rate. PLEASE NOTE: Excess power usage will be charged to you, the renter. LADWP & Socal Gas are capped at $1000 p/m. Any overages shall be borne by the renter(s). Please note: Pool & spa heating is not included in the house rental cost. This house is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as it is located on several levels. The house is located in the hills.
