Cottage at the Farm

Welcome to the Cottage: the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway! The location is convenient to nearby wineries, breweries, wedding venues, and antique shops. Located in Fincastle, we are approx. 25 mins to downtown Roanoke, and 30-60 mins to several Colleges and Universities (Hollins, Roanoke College, Jefferson College of Health Sciences, Radford, Washington and Lee, VMI, and VT). The beautiful AT is also a short distance away (< 9 miles), along w/ several other hiking trails. The space The cottage is arranged to fit a maximum of 4 people comfortably. Linens are provided, along w/hair dryer, iron, coffee maker, microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, ice trays, washer/dryer, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and well water w/ water softening system. Behind the cottage is a small patio with a table, chairs, and a propane grill. Relax and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. The property is a small gentleman’s farm, so you may see tractors and other equipment in the hay fields during the summer and early fall. Guest access Our personal home is near the cottage, so you may see us out and about, with kids running around. Please use caution when entering and exiting the property. You may also see free-range chickens roaming the yard. Although friendly, please do not pet or feed them. There are several barns and buildings on the property as well. Please do not enter them. When coming up driveway, you will pass our home on the right en route to the cottage. There is adequate parking for 3 vehicles. Other things to note Please note: bedroom 3 does not have an HVAC vent in the room. It can get chilly in the fall/winter (heater provided) and be warmer in the spring/summer (fan provided). Please NO pets. Owner is HIGHLY ALLERGIC to pet dander. In addition, free range chickens on property should not be put in danger.
