Nature Lovers, Hunters, Hikers, Cavers and those wanting to relax, look no more! Modular Home sitting on approximately 100 acres of beautiful land with small ponds, tons of wildlife, hiking and quick access to the Green River. We are located about 8 miles out in the country, with 10 minute access to a Grocery, Dollar General Store, a quick 25 minutes to Mammoth Cave and 20 minutes to Nolan Lake. The property is secluded, beautiful, nothing fancy but very relaxing! This is a pretty laid back space that our family of 6 uses throughout the year to "get away". It is nothing fancy or extravagant (a simple modular double wide home) that we call our "Cabin". It is definitely a memory maker and an Outdoorsmen’s Paradise! The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 of those with bunk beds and the master with a Queen, 2 Futon couches in the living room that make beds and also 2 full bathrooms, a large living room and a kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator and stove/oven (there is NO dishwasher). Out front, there’s a large porch, firepit for roasting whatever you choose (we like corn on the cob and S'mores!), outdoor chairs for sitting and observing all the nature around you, hiking sticks in case you want to hike down to the old Rock Quarry, hike over to our “Rock house” (which is like an entrance to a cave) or head down to Bear Creek which runs along the length of the property, and for those into water sports and/or fishing, you will have quick access to Green River (about 2 miles away). If you are into boating, Nolan Lake is about 20 minutes away and Mammoth Cave and all the fun activities in that area are only 25 minutes away. It's an amazing time for those that love the great outdoors! If you want to relax inside, it’s not at all extravagant but it is a cozy space & there are some cards and plenty of games, lots of books and also a Smart TV and we very recently added WiFi which works fine but due to the remote location, it’s not guaranteed. If you like, you can use your own hot spot to watch the television, as well. Both the front and back doors have outdoor cameras and automatic lights for your convenience and safety. Please note, this is not a “fancy” home at all, nor is it intended to be. Be advised that there is a really amazing firepit with a tripod grill for grilling but there is not a gas grill. This is definitely remote and out in the country- which means lots of wildlife critters, ladybugs, butterflies, great hiking, and the star gazing at night is absolutely phenomenal!!! Guests will have access to the entire home and the property (approximately 100 acres) and can access Bear Creek which runs along the edge of the property. We live about 45 minutes from the home but are a quick phone call or text away! This property is out in the country and sits on about 100 acres that we own. There's a long gravel driveway that takes you to the house. There is a large area to "turn around" your vehicle or trailer but you may want to use 4 wheel drive as the “turn around” sits on a slight hill. The driveway itself is straight and flat. You are pretty secluded with a few neighbors up the road but can get to the grocery store or Dollar General in about 10 minutes. You can walk or hike the property and see the Evergreen Forest, the Old Rock Quarry, Bear Creek (which runs along the property) and it's a quick 5 minute drive down to the Greenriver if you want to go kayaking or canoeing. Mammoth Cave is 22 miles away and Smiths Grove and the fun antique strip downtown Smiths Grove is only 20 minutes away. This is not a fancy home at all, but it is a clean & cozy home, that we call our "cabin" in the woods. It sits on Bear Creek and if you go hiking , you can walk along the creek and fish. You will encounter lots of nature in this area for sure! The phone reception is not always great. Please do not expect perfection and look at the photos as this is just a simple trailer on beautiful property. Be advised that it is remote and you will most likely encounter ladybugs, moths, bugs and critters. There’s no fancy China or anything of that nature so keep that in mind when booking.
