Chestertown - Eastern Shore Getaway

This century-old three-story home is in the beautiful historic district of Chestertown on the majestic, unspoiled Chester River, on Maryland's famous Eastern Shore. We are right across the street from Washington College and just blocks from the quaint ambiance of High Street. The commercial district is equally accessible, with banks, grocery and liquor stores, restaurants, and more, a few blocks up Washington Avenue. (NOTE - Airbnb adjusts our rate according to the current demand for rooms) The space The bright, spacious guest suite is on the 3rd floor (no elevator!). It includes a sunny, spacious bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed and comfy memory-foam mattress that our guests usually love (some have even purchased one for themselves after sleeping here!). There is a separate sitting room with an LCD TV and a daybed for an extra guest. The private full bath has been recently remodeled. Your suite includes a table and chairs for working and/or eating, a mini-fridge, a toaster, microwave, a coffee/tea bar with a Keurig and electric teapot and a 3-stage filtered water dispenser. NOTE: the stairs to the 3rd floor suite are steeper than some (see the picture on our site). They meet OSHA standards, but could present a challenge to those with limited mobility! Guest access The whole 3rd floor is yours. Fix yourself a cup of coffee or tea in your suite! In comfortable weather, you can choose to take it to the enclosed/screened side porch to enjoy, or relax in your bright, sunny suite! Other things to note Please check out our guidebook on this site for our recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit. NOTE: Chestertown is a small town. Mondays and Tuesdays are quiet, and some of our restaurants and businesses are normally closed those days of the week. AS NOTED IN OUR PROPERTY DESCRIPTION, THE STAIRS TO THE 3RD FLOOR GUEST SUITE ARE STEEPER THAN SOME. THEY MEET OSHA STANDARDS, BUT THOSE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY MAY HAVE DIFFICULTY NAVIGATING THEM!
