Cozy, Rustic Oak Log cabin within a very quiet natural surrounding for a Mountain getaway! Tall Ponderosa pines and wildlife everywhere. A billion stars at night. A chance to "unplug" and enjoy natures beauty of the Spanish Peaks and Sangre de Cristo range. Dog friendly. Great place to stop if you are driving thru Colorado this summer. No more than 6 in the cabin but Plenty of room for parking your own RV’s or pitching tents for small added fees. Total of 12 guests. No RV hookups,dry camping The space 500 sq. ft. log cabin for a cozy quiet get away. Enjoy hiking, bird watching , rock climbing, star gazing at night. Relax on the deck with a good book or just listen to the wind blow thru the tall Ponderosa pines with great views of the Spanish Peaks and Sangre de Cristo range. You Just need your food and drinks, everything else is provided for a Mountain get away. Verizon is the only cell service that works on site. One space with sleeping on one side of the cabin with 2, twin over twin bunks (4 bunks total) and a Queen size Murphy wall bed. All bedding provided for inside cabin guests. Kitchen and dining on the other side of the cabin. Dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans provided. Refrigerator/ small top freezer, propane cooktop, coffee maker, microwave, large toaster oven, electric skillet, crockpot, outside bbq grill are all provided. Just bring your food and drinks, everything else is already here. Large outside deck with chairs , picnic table and propane grill provided. Propane fire ring provided. Dining with a great view of the Spanish Peaks and Sangre de Cristo range. Detached bath house just a few steps outside cabin for privacy with sink, shower and toilet. All towels provided for inside cabin guests. Soap, shampoo and hair dryer. Hanging rod and hangers in the bath house. Hiking on our 75 acres or Nearby State and National forest hiking trails, and mountain lakes for FISHING. Sight seeing while driving the historic “Highway of Legends” National scenic byway. We are just off the Sam Correro “Trans America Trail on the way to the Spanish Peaks. If you have a larger group of people, up to 12 total people , coming to the area, maybe a family reunion , a wedding or special Anniversary, Birthday celebration , Music festival or “RAD BIKE “ races, we can make arrangements to host more people in your group if they have their own RVs , campers or tents , staying close to the cabin on our Mountain property setting. We do NOT Provide RV hook ups, dry camping only. Tent campers may use bath house facilities when you add them to your cabin booking. Propane fire rings allowed. Making memories with your family. This cabin is a great base camp set up for 1-6 hunters. Turkey hunting may be allowed on our property with proper licenses and extra fee per person. If you are hunting in unit 85, check us out. No big game hunting on our ranch, but we are close to public hunting land in unit #85. We are dog friendly, no more than 2 per visit-they must be well behaved and not chase cattle or wildlife. Propane campfire ring provided for star gazing at night. No smoking ever in the Cabin and outside is restricted or may be banned during any high fire danger warnings. The property has many areas that are rocky, uneven, forested terrain which may be difficult for those that are young or Immobile to get around. There are steps required for entering both the cabin and bath house. Hiking is at your own risk. Wildlife are always roaming in the area. YOU must be responsible and Take all precautions to avoid contact with wildlife. 4 x 4 or AWD vehicles are recommended for early Spring and late Fall / winter due to possible limited road access from rain or snow falls. We have plenty of room for parking RV’s or Rigs with trailers if you are traveling thru Colorado this summer. Plenty of things to do for all ages, rock climbing, hiking, biking, snow shoeing in the winter , fishing nearby. Great space for running your dogs. Frisbee, football, soccer ball, Board games, puzzles, We have a corn hole and horse shoe set for guest use as well as archery target area if you bring your own bow and arrows. Shooting target range use may be open under certain circumstances with your own weapons. Ask Host for details on use of shooting range. We love sharing our little slice of heaven with others. Check out the guide book for things to do and places to see nearby. Guest access You will have total privacy at the cabin and access to hiking on our 75 acre ranch property. Other things to note The only cell service that works on site is Verizon. You will have to contact us from interstate #25 at the Aguilar exit due to lack of cell service on the road coming out. We will send you detailed directions after bookings. You can use our phones to make emergency calls if needed. No Wi-Fi or TV, unplug for your connection to nature. Total of 12 people including your own RV or tents.
