At the heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen and dining area, made for shared meals, games and planning your next Forest of Dean walk. The dining area sits in the older part of the cottage, with stone, character and a bespoke mural by local artist Sian adding a little local flavour. The kitchen is bright, practical and fully equipped for easy self-catering. For relaxed evenings, there’s a snug with reclining chairs, a log burner and Smart TV, plus a sun room with extra seating, a second TV and games for slower afternoons or family evenings in. The two spaces give everyone room to spread out, whether you want to gather together or find a quieter corner. There are two bathrooms: one downstairs with a walk-in shower for ease and convenience, and one upstairs with a rain-head shower, perfect after a day outdoors. Step outside into the private enclosed garden, where dogs have space to stretch their legs and you can enjoy the private hot tub, BBQ and raised seating area. The hot tub is heated and ready for your arrival, making it easy to settle in from the start. 24 at St. John's is welcoming and thoughtfully prepared, with practical touches that make family stays and dog-friendly breaks feel easy. Guest access Guests have full access to 24 at St John’s, including the whole cottage, enclosed garden, private hot tub, BBQ area and outdoor seating. None of the areas are shared. Self check-in makes arrival simple and flexible, with clear details sent before your stay so you can settle in easily when you arrive. There is parking for up to two vehicles on the off-road driveway, with further parking available opposite at St John’s Church if needed. The fully enclosed garden is a practical space for dogs, and the cottage is set up to make family stays and dog-friendly breaks feel straightforward from the moment you arrive. ** A Note About the Hot Tub ** To ensure the hot tub remains safe, clean, and ready to enjoy, we carry out a quick daily check of the water quality and chemical levels. This takes just a few minutes, and we’ll be as discreet as possible when accessing the garden area. Should you need to arrange a convenient time for us to visit please don't hesitate to reach out sometime before your arrival to let us know.
