Description

Serenity House is a perfect retreat for two. Can sleep as many as four. It is located high in the trees. It boasts a beautiful view of the property from the sizable porch for enjoying a drink under the stars. Let the space sway you to sleep as the wind blows the treehouse side to side. The space Serenity House is 460 square feet space with a loft bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living area and spacious porch. The treehouse overlooks a small valley and during winter months you can see our horse pastures. Guests can enjoy walking the trails around and through the 220 acre property. As well as visiting the pond for fishing and swimming, the horses and highland cows. Please note the loft with the queen bed is up a ladder. If you are not able to climb stairs or a ladder this place may be difficult for you. (Consider sleeping on the couch pull-out bed if you’re not comfortable with the ladder) This space is located high in the trees (about 20 ft at eye level at the highest point, and about 80 ft above the valley floor). We have a cream and white dog, LeeLoo, that has free range of the property. She will most likely greet you when she is on the property or join you on your walk. She's very sweet and social, she just wants to meet everyone! (She will bark at you until she gets enough nerve to give you a smell) **There is TV in this space. There is also VERY LITTLE CELL PHONE SERVICE! We recommend bringing books, games, journals or small hobbies. Other listings on the property can be found on our profile by scrolling down to "other listings by this host" Guest access We are located on 220 acres of Tennessee farmland. Trails through and around the property for hiking. Garden and fresh chicken eggs available as the season allows. Pond for swimming and fishing. Beef from our cattle is available for purchase as well. (Cuts may be limited). Other things to note The power has a habit of going out in inclement weather or strong winds. It doesn’t normally stay out for longer than 2-3 hours. In the country, if the power is out, so is the water. So you will not be able to flush the potty during an outage. We provide candles, flash lights, puzzles and books for your entertainment during the outages. We’re sorry for the inconvenience but if your power is out, so is ours. We feel your pain and frustration. The closest grocery store is 10 miles away. We suggest going to the store BEFORE you arrive and getting essential food items! We have suggestions for where to shop both locally and regionally listed in the guide book. The guide book can be found by clicking on my profile picture and scrolling down until you see "Guide Book". THERE IS INTERNET ACCESS at this cabin. There is NO TV and VERY LITTLE CELL SERVICE! Please plan accordingly! There is a $40 pet fee added to your stay. (Alternatively, you can leave cash in the envelope provided.) We also ask that you bring something to cover the furniture if your pup is accustomed to being on the sofa or bed. Pets MUST be up to date on flea and tick medication before you arrive!!! Please carefully read other pet rules before you arrive. Check in is flexible. We TRY to accomodate early check in when we can ...just ask us if it's doable! Check out is at 10am unless otherwise discussed with us. Please feel free to share any photos of your time on our farm to our social media page, Rock 'N Refuge, @rock_n_refuge or #rocknrefuge #serenityhouse We do have eggs and beef from our farm animals if you'd like to purchase any of those items. (Please note that depending on the time of year eggs may be unavailable and beef may be sparse). Your first load of firewood is free, but any subsequent load of wood after that will be $10 cash.
