The sun shines here like Seattle rains, 300+ days per year. The air is fresh and the roads are smooth. There are three rivers to choose from or enjoy them all! Note for winter weather - your driveway is in the middle of a hill for those rare occasions of snow and/or ice. There is optional parking. Kick back and soak in the scenery when you are not taking advantage of the park below, water activities, wine tours, golfing, hiking, sports, or the other many options for fun. This neighborhood is going through a renovation of sorts which includes new homes built on old lots and estate homes recently built at the end of the road. There is plenty of original housing (1950s, 1960s) as well. While there are two sets of active train tracks, the trains are surprisingly quiet. They should not disturb your outdoor activities or conversations. Their whistles do not blow in passing. You can hear the freeway below when outside; but again, it is not loud enough to interfere with your outdoor activities or conversations. If you are from the "city," the difference in "freeway" noise is significant. So come on over to get your fresh air and sun on! When you are finished for the day relax with a BBQ, and quiet night around the fire pit enjoying the night lights and amazing spring/summer sky. It is especially amazing in the early evening when the sage is blooming and late spring, early summer scents fill the perfectly still air. You will want to have a car to get around the local area. On rare occasions of snow and/or ice, remember you are in the middle of a hill. The Tri-Cities is spread out by design. There is public transit but not 24/7. Water sports, boating, restaurants, shopping (including Costco), and entertainment are all within minutes driving distance. There is a bus stop within 10 minutes walking distance give or take. Columbia Park is literally 5 minutes from here by vehicle with 2 boat ramps, one on each end. We recommend RadCab for car service. They are locally owned, friendly, flexible, and reliable. If they are unavailable, then there is always Uber. Security cameras cover the entrances with ring app. Semi-private street. Motion light above your entrance. Host and dog live on the upper floor. Entrance and yard are separate. Thank you in advance for respecting the house rules. Our goal is to provide you with the most enjoyable home away from home to return to whenever you are in town and to recommend to your family and friends. We also offer discounts for medium-term stays - contact Host. Per diem rates may apply - send host inquiry as there are restrictions.
