A unique, historic detached house, terrace and garden room, right on the Calonne river, just 1-min walk to all that beautiful Cormeilles has to offer; Bars, Cafes, Theatre, Restaurants, Boulangeries, Boucherie, Poisonnierre, Fromagerie, plus a typical French market on Friday. Countryside walks in the Pays d'Auge from your door. Even a Calvados distillery within walking distance. The space An historic maison of over 170 years old, with a triangular footprint and original wooden spiral staircase. Recently renovated, keeping the historic features and large fireplace (logs provided). Also a brand new inspirational chef’s kitchen with integrated appliances, quality cookware, along with fast Wi-Fi and TV streaming services. With very tall ceilings and large double windows, the spaces are bright and airy. The beds are comfortable with high quality mattresses and linens - the master bedroom has a 4-poster bed giving a feel of total luxury. The terrace, with its “Pete’s Oven BBQ Fire Pit”, outdoor seating & hammock, right by the river, is a special place both during the day and evenings. Along with the outdoor den/games/movie room adjacent to the terrace, with the music of the rushing river, there’s something for everyone. The terrace is accessed via a private path to the side of the house. Self check-in. Other things to note We believe in providing our guests with the all the comforts that we would want. All beds have feather duvets and pillows which are all encased in zipped 100% cotton anti-allergen protectors. High quality mattresses also in zipped cotton anti-allergen protectors. We use 100% bamboo linens which not only help with temperature control but feel like silk - total luxury. This, along with the 700 GSM weight Egyptian cotton luxury towels and French perfumes provided, we believe that our guests deserve these luxuries.
